AMES, Iowa -- With about 9 minutes left in Iowa States game with TCU, Georges Niang of the Cyclones caught teammate Melvin Ejim looking up at the giant scoreboard that hangs over the centre of the court. Lee Smith Bills Jersey . "Im like, whats he looking at?" Niang said. "I looked up and he had 35 (points) and I was like, holy smoke, this could be a crazy night." That it was. Ejim scored a Big 12-record 48 points, making 20 of 24 shots, and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds to lead No. 16 Iowa State past TCU 84-69 on Saturday, keeping the Horned Frogs winless in the conference. Ejim had two 3-pointers and six dunks during his big game, one on a spectacular fast-break lob from DeAndre Kane that gave the Cyclones (18-4, 6-4 Big 12) a 67-52 lead and effectively put the game out of reach. "It was teamwork," Ejim said. "These guys just did a great job finding me in transition and getting me the ball in places where I could score. They made really selfless plays. We were just giving up the ball and luckily, I was on the receiving end." A 6-foot-6 senior, Ejim scored 20 straight Iowa State points during one stretch in the second half and easily notched his 30th career double-double. He padded his lead in the Big 12 scoring race with a performance that topped the previous conference record of 44 points by Kansas States Denis Clemente in 2009 and the Wildcats Michael Beasley in 2008. His previous high had been 23 points against Oklahoma last season. Iowa States school record is 54 by Lafester Rhodes in an overtime victory over Iowa in 1987. Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg, who once scored 41 in a game for the Cyclones, said Ejims record is all the more impressive considering it came in a league that has produced the likes of Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin. "All the great players that have gone through this league and Melvin Ejims name is at the top," he said. "Thats unbelievable for a guy that maybe doesnt get as much credit as he deserves. The Cyclones needed those points because TCU (9-13, 0-10) kept matching them basket for basket down the stretch. Ejim stayed in the game until 19.9 seconds were left, when he left to a lengthy standing ovation. "We were just playing," he said. "I wasnt really looking up to see how much I had. These guys just kept telling me to be aggressive, keep playing. I think I figured it out when they started chanting my name." Niang added 11 points and Kane finished with 10 assists for the Cyclones, who avoided a letdown after their thrilling three-overtime victory at Oklahoma State on Monday, their first win in Stillwater since 1988. Kyan Anderson led the Horned Frogs with 27 points and eight assists. Amric Fields scored 18 points and Karviar Shepherd had 11 for TCU, which was coming off single-digit losses to Texas Tech and No. 15 Texas, but could not keep up with the Cyclones and the high-flying Ejim. "I got back to Melvin back on (Big 12) media day," TCU coach Trent Johnson said. "He is one of my favourite college basketball players in the country this year. I think he is really underrated. He is a hell of a kid, at least from the interaction Ive had with him. He plays extremely hard and he is very efficient." The game was expected to offer a break for the Cyclones after they played four straight against Top 25 teams and eight in a row against teams that were ranked at one time or another. But the Horned Frogs proved to be a little more stubborn than anticipated despite a horrible start. TCU gave up the ball on a shot clock violation on the games first possession, Dustin Hogue followed with a 3-pointer and Iowa State led from then on as the Horned Frogs missed nine of their first 10 shots. Despite some sloppy play at times, the Cyclones built a 16-point lead late in the first half, then had the lead whittled to seven before Ejim went on his tear to wrap it up. TCU shot 29.6 per cent in the first half and did not have more baskets than turnovers until Anderson hit the second of two straight 3-pointers with 45 seconds left in the first half, cutting the lead to 32-22. "We battled," Johnson said. "For us to be within striking distance with about four minutes to go, I cant fault what our kids did." Fred Jackson Jersey . Smart was selected with the sixth overall pick in June. The Oklahoma State guard was a two-time All-Big 12 First-Team selection and finished his two-year collegiate career with 189 steals, the second-most in school history. Kraig Urbik Bills Jersey . - Klay Thompson scored 25 points and backcourt-mate Stephen Curry added 20, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 120-105 preseason victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. http://www.shoptheofficialbills.com/Elite-Jim-Kelly-Bills-Jersey/ . Dustin Brown said it felt unbelievable. The top-seeded Isner lost to the dreadlocked Brown in the second round of the U.SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants manager Bruce Bochy expected good things from Tim Hudson. Hes getting even better results than he anticipated. Hudson threw seven strong innings and left with a major league-best 1.81 ERA as San Francisco avoided a four-game sweep, beating the Washington Nationals 7-1 on Thursday. "Ive always admired him from the other side, how well he competes," Bochy said. "I felt we were getting a front-line pitcher who will give us a chance to win on a consistent basis. Hes done all weve expected and even more." Michael Morse got three hits and scored twice for the Giants, who had a five-game winning streak before Washington came to town. The Nationals have lost just twice in 10 games. "Its not much fun playing the fourth game of a series trying not to get swept," Bochy said. "The guys did a good job of forgetting the first three games and went out and played well." Hudson (7-2) allowed one unearned run and six hits. He walked two, struck out five and improved to 3-0 in his last five starts, which includes a suspended game. The Giants are 7-0 in games Hudson has started at home. "We played good defence to keep me out of some jams," Hudson said. Blake Treinen (0-3) remained winless at the major league level despite a 2.08 ERA. He gave up two runs and five hits in five innings. "Im confident I can compete at this level," Treinen said. "But I still need to improve, especially the command of my fastball." Pinch-hitter Hector Sanchez had a two-run single for the Giants. Ryan Zimmerman drove in a run for the Nationals. Jose Lobaton, making his third consecutive start behind the plate, added two hits. Hudson allowed two or fewwer runs for the 10th time in 13 starts. Percy Harvin Bills Jersey. He beat the Nationals for the 17th time, the most of any active player, in 30 starts. "I just try to go out there and give us a chance to win," Hudson said. "It doesnt matter than we lost three in a row or won three in a row. I feel like I put forth the same effort every time. When you have lost three straight to the same team theres more urgency behind it." Treinen, who replaced the injured Gio Gonzalez in the starting rotation, has pitched against tough competition. The four starters hes faced have combined for 14 opening day starts. "Hes done well and is working hard at every aspect of the game," Nationals manager Matt Williams said. "He has that power slider, which is his go-to pitch. Working on the development of his other pitches is what is important." The Giants scored twice in the second. Morse singled, Tyler Colvin tripled and Brandon Crawford had an RBI grounder. San Francisco added two more in the sixth on a balk by reliever Craig Stammen and an RBI single by pinch-hitter Gregor Blanco. NOTES: Giants INF Marco Scutaro (back) was scheduled to start swinging a bat to see how hes progressing. "Hes looking forward to getting his rehab going," Bochy said. "He wants to start doing baseball activities." ... Gonzalez was scheduled to make one last rehab start Thursday before rejoining the team. ... Washington RHP Jordan Zimmermann (5-2, 3.17) starts at St. Louis on Friday night. He is 0-4 in seven starts against the Cardinals. ... Toronto, which has won three straight and five of its last six outings, posted a 2-1 shootout victory Wednesday night in Detroit and will try to pick up another win against the Red Wings on home ice. Wednesdays victory was Torontos second straight against Detroit since losing the first two meetings of the season series. The clubs are meeting tonight for the fifth and final time in the 2014-15 regular season. Mike Santorelli scored in the final round of the shootout to lead Toronto to the recent victory in the Motor City. With the final attempt, Santorelli skated in on net and buried a wrister between the pads of Jimmy Howard for the win. Phil Kessel had the goal in regulation for the Maple Leafs, while James Reimer stopped 41 shots in the win. We werent at our best tonight, but we stood up to the challenge, said Santorelli. The Maple Leafs will aim for their first four-game winning streak since recording six straight wins from Jan. 12-21 of last season. Detroit, which outshot Toronto by a 42-19 margin, hopes it can convert more scoring opportunities in Saturdays rematch. They stole two points but Ill take it every night. If you play like that youre going to win, said Red Wings coach Mikke Babcock of Wednesdays game. Danny Trevathan Broncos Jersey. While Toronto has been idle since that win, the Red Wings hosted Florida on Friday and suffered another shootout loss. Roberto Luongo stopped 29 shots in regulation and both Detroit chances in the shootout to lift the Panthers to the 3-2 win at Joe Louis Arena. After Pavel Datsyuk failed in his bid to open the shootout, Trocheck solved Howard with a wrister after several stick fakes. The loss dropped the Red Wings to 1-5 in shootouts this season. When we get to a shootout were not a confident group, Babcock said. We have to fight through it and find a way to win one. searchers discovered that couples whose shared income was higher overall had a lessened likelihood of splitting.Oh wedding gloves for women , and donít skip the honeymoon: if you do that, your chances of splitting raise once more. Also, donít get married too quickly, donít elope, and invite a lot of people to the wedding.a triad that many people getting married in Canada today (the Wedding Bells trends survey listed the average age of a new bride at 31) may find difficult to achieve. It is, if you find yourself affected by statistics, deeply discouraging. What the study didnít reflect, though, is the deeply sentimental significance that a wedding carries, particularly if youíre a woman (who, according to Emory, are at an even greater risk of divorce if they spend more on the wedding than their male counterparts). But McGill, whose own wedding was a two-person affair, says that while the Emory study was an interesting read, she doesnít believe newly betrothed couples should consider the correlation over how much they, personally, can afford.she says of the study.Perhaps they were already overspending. We know that weddings are emotional events and you have to be prepared to burn fat?Thatís a hot topic in our gym these days.Probably itís a symptom of midwinter lace wedding gloves , with many of us looking forward to a warm-weather vacation in March that features beach time and swimsuits.the fat will simply melt away. But fat can be stubborn. Many variables exist in the interaction of calories, exercise and weight loss.As a general rule, burning 3,500 calories will result in the loss of a pound of fat. That requires a lot of exercising when you consider that moderate effort on the elliptical burns expends 400 calories an hour.and Greg Wells agrees. The author and University of Toronto exercise physiologist believes itís inefficient to begin an exercise program without improving oneís diet.doing them together provides an exponential boost.Wells doesnít particularly care what sort of exercise you do, because all of it burns calories.Wells says you should probably be doing both. And on top of that, work on cutting calorie-dense foods and increasing the amount of fruit and vegetables in your diet. You have to tackle your diet, too.Reduce your expectationsAmong Canadaís experts in the fight against fat is Dr.Robert Ross, an exercise physiologist cross-appointed to Queenís Universityís School of Medicine and Faculty of Health Sciences.because the results arenít coming fast enough.Instead, Ross believes the best and most manageable way to get to a healthy weight is through a series of small, incremental changes. The really relevant question is whether you can sustain them.So whatís the most sustainable fat-burning approach?Opt for small, achievable goals.Feats you know youíre likely to achieve.Donít vow to run a marathon if youíve never run a 10k.Donít opt for a vegetarian diet if you love your meat.Instead, go small scale.decreasing daily food intake by a relatively small 100 calories per day, and increasing daily exercise by 10 minutes a day.The two goals seem like a good place to start.gym for those bad at gymWant to lose weight?Be hungry, exercise like you want to die and stare at the bathroom scales till they define youTargeting major muscle groupsMedcanís head trainer, Brendan Fox, wholeheartedly subscribes to Wellsí and Rossís above approaches. But when a client comes in desperate to improve body composition in advance, say, of a Caribbean wedding, Fox is up to the challenge. To make the workout as time-efficient as possible, heíll take a circuit approach that minimizes the need for rest breaks by pairing exercises that target different muscle groups. So heíll start with a set of squats and once thatís complete, head right into a series of pull-ups.Next comes lunges alternating with push-ups white wedding gloves , followed by inverted rows and bodyweight dips.As for my own take, I would suggest looking past the goal of fat-burning and encourage everyone to incorporate daily exercise and a healthy diet into their lifestyles for their own sakes.Youíll feel happier, sleep better, have more energy and, eventually, shed some pounds.and sustain your lifestyle changes over the long term.Shaun Francis is the executive chairman of the Medcan Clinic, a preventive health clinic in who had given up their careers so that their other halves could take foreign assignments Junior Bridesmaid Dresses , and when, on admiring the Mulberry handbag of one of my husbandís colleagueís, she admitted it was a bonus present.Surprised and intrigued, I asked her to tell me more. She went on to explain that most of her extensive Mulberry collection had only been possible because of the wife bonus she received.I canít pretend I wasnít a little shocked. The concept of a gift for being a good little wife seemed to assault all my feminist senses, implying a certain level of sinister financial control. My husband and I had always played a fair game when it came to splitting our finances, having a joint bank account that covered our family everyday needs.Admittedly, I had never felt entirely comfortable at withdrawing money from the account for anything self-indulgent as I had done when I was earning my own money, but it hadnít been something that had preoccupied me.But the more I heard about the wife bonus , the more it seemed to make sense. As the supports to our husbands, often having to play second fiddle to their careers, putting our own aspirations on the back burner, why shouldnít we share the spoils, especially come bonus time? But, if I really wanted my husband to reward me for the support Iíd given him and the sacrifice Iíd made, I decided it should go beyond him handing me a small envelope with a patronising wink, telling me to buy myself something pretty.Instead, it should be a cash settlement, just as I would get if I were an actual employee. If anything, by insisting that my time was just as valuable as my husbandís and by paying me a bonus, my husband could demonstrate in a pecuniary fashion that staying at home with a child is just as important a role as going out to work, and that running a home is a job in itself.Surely these are arguments that true feminists have been making for years? While many men might have scoffed at such a suggestion, my husband was surprisingly amenable. He agreed that he wouldnít be able to go out and do his job if I didnít stay at home and do mine.I have taken the primary role in caring for our daughter Best Bridesmaid Dresses 2015 , not to mention the cooking, cleaning and everything else that staying on top of things at home entails. He works long hours in a stressful environment, and is often hours myself, I know the last thing you want to do when you get home late from work is laundry. So we sat down and negotiated an agreement. If the company that my husband works for has had a good year and compensated him accordingly, he would pass the benefit down to me.While the bulk of his bonus should be put aside for serious things such as school fees or a future property, we also agreed that, after tax, we each take 20 per cent of his bonus, ensuring that we both have an opportunity to reward ourselves for a year of hard work.I prefer to keep the precise amount private, but it is certainly enough to be able to treat myself. As in most situations, there are always extremes. We donít have a prenuptial agreement, and thereís nothing in writing outlining tasks I have to perform. The closest Iíve come to not receiving a wife bonus was the time he told me once to manage my expectations because the company hadnít had such a good year.Ultimately, we see ourselves as a joint venture, and this is just an extension of that.We have since moved from Australia to Copenhagen, and although Iím far from ashamed of the arrangement we have, itís not something Iíve chosen to share with people until now.I wouldnít boast about a bonus I received at work, and this is no different. But since the idea of a wife bonus has been discussed so widely, I thought it was important to show how it extends beyond the wives of Park Avenue.Iíve been disappointed by the condemnation Iíve received from other women, who feel that Iím betraying the feminist causeHowever, Iíve been disappointed by the has chosen to leave the workplace to care for her child is an entirely different debate, which merits its own discussion.By not working, Iím financially dependent on my husband, regardless of whether I accept a wife bonus. If anything, by receiving a bonus, I am finally being recognized as my husbandís true equal.TORONTO Saks Fifth Avenue hasnít come to Canada yet, but at its future setting inside Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork. Cheap NFL Jerseys .com) - Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger is expected to make his season debut on Friday after missing the teams first 25 games with a left calf strain. Granger appeared in just five games last season before a lingering left knee injury required season-ending surgery. While attempting a comeback in early October, Granger pulled a calf in the same left leg. "Theres no way to simulate game intensity," Indiana head coach Frank Vogel said of Grangers return to the court. "Theres going to be an adjustment period while he gets used to that." Granger, selected 17th overall by the Pacers in 2005, has averaged 18.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 515 games (423 starts) over eight NBA seasons, all in Indiana. The 30-year-old swingman will make his first regular-season appearance since March 3 when the 20-5 Pacers host Houston on Friday. Cheap Jerseys China . Five players had a multi-point performance and goaltender Ben Scrivens made 34 saves as Edmonton avoided a seventh straight loss by defeating the visiting Nashville Predators 5-1. Cheap NFL Jerseys China . LOUIS -- The St.Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The number they focused on was in the win column, and that grew because of their leadership and individual excellence. Theres no denying quarterbacks Vernon Adams Jr. of Eastern Washington, Justin Arias of Idaho State and John Robertson of Villanova were at the head of the class in the FCS this season. All three have been invited to the announcement of the 28th Walter Payton Award, given to the nations outstanding player and considered the Heisman Trophy of the former Division I-AA level. The winner will be announced at The Sports Networks FCS Awards Banquet and Presentation on Dec. 15 in Philadelphia. The winners of the Buck Buchanan Award (FCS outstanding defensive player), Jerry Rice Award (FCS freshman of the year) and Eddie Robinson Award (FCS coach of the year) also will be feted that night. Awards voting, conducted by a national panel, is based on the regular season. Following are short descriptions of Vernon Adams Jr., Justin Arias and John Robertson, and then the voting totals for fourth through 25th place for the 2014 Walter Payton Award: VERNON ADAMS JR., EASTERN WASHINGTON, QUARTERBACK, REDSHIRT-JUNIOR The first jersey Vernon Adams Jr.s son, Vernon III, received after being born in June was a Russell Wilson Seahawks No. 3. At our (school) bookstore, theyre not making (Eastern Washington University) No. 3 jerseys yet, weve just got No. 1 jerseys, said the Eagles star quarterback, who draws comparisons to the signal caller with the same number. Ill get him a No. 3 jersey here soon. No doubt, an EWU No. 3 jersey would sell out. Adams has been a human highlight reel for three seasons, helping the Eagles to win the Big Sky Conference title each time. Last years Walter Payton Award runner-up is back for another chance to win FCS outstanding player honors. When he redshirted in 2011, Adams watched as EWU quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell captured the Payton to put alongside the Eagles 2010 national championship trophy. Bo Levi has both of them. Thats what makes him one of the greats, if not the greatest quarterback, to ever come through Eastern Washington, Adams said. My goal is to win a national championship. If the Walter Payton comes along, then it comes along. I tell guys all the time, thats a team award. Ironically, what EWU has in the 6-foot, 200-pounder from Pasadena, California, was even more evident this season because the Eagles played without the redshirt junior for four games after he broke his right foot. All he did in his return against FCS power Montana on Nov. 8 was pass for 410 yards and four touchdowns. The Big Skys all-time leader in touchdown passes threw for 30 in only eight regular-season games, and he would have led the FCS in total offense per game (391.5 yards) if he had played one more game to qualify for the NCAA statistics. Adams, a recreation management major with a coaching minor, and his girlfriend Cheyenne Merritt, a nursing major at EWU, will have plenty of fond tales to tell Vernon III. JUSTIN ARIAS, IDAHO STATE, QUARTERBACK, GRADUATE STUDENT One of Justin Arias hobbies is to build something from scratch, like his new desktop computer. His big project in the fall, though, was helping rebuild what was a struggling football program at Idaho State University. I like new challenges, the quarterback said. I really like to do things Ive never done before because I like the process of learning and becoming good at it. The Bengals had won only nine games over the previous six years, but this season they went 8-4, tied for second place in the Big Sky Conference and became nationally ranked for the first time since 2005. The 6-foot, 213-pound Arias was one of the chief architects of the turnaround, throwing for an FCS- high 4,076 yards and a school-record 38 touchdowns, while putting himself in the running for the Walter Payton Award which honors the outstanding player in the FCS. Idaho State trusted the vision of its coaching staff and seemed to find a higher level of achievement with each game. With the Bengals establishing a more consistent run game, their composed signal caller was even more dangerous throwing downfield, and the offense accounted for 6,744 yards, which is a Big Sky record for a 12-game schedule. I think its pretty special to come into a program and help rebuiild it, said Arias, a former transfer who will earn a graduate degree in athletic administration in December. Wholesale Jerseys. Hes from Agoura Hills, California. Last year I did pretty well, had good stats, but we just didnt win. Its awesome to get those stats and win games. It was definitely a team effort; I couldnt have done it without the team, without the O-line, without my receivers. It was awesome to accomplish it together. JOHN ROBERTSON, VILLANOVA, QUARTERBACK, REDSHIRT-JUNIOR On the night Villanova University quarterback John Robertson received national freshman of the year honors at the 2012 FCS Awards Presentation, Wildcats offensive coordinator Sam Venuto told the Jerry Rice Award recipient, You better be back here for the Walter Payton Award eventually. Two years later, Robertson has followed the order. One of three players eagerly awaiting the announcement of the 2014 Payton winner, the 6-1, 221-pound dual- threat has shredded opposing defenses throughout his redshirt junior campaign. He was named CAA Football offensive player of the week an incredible six times during the regular season while Villanova went 10-2 with only a pair of one- point losses. He was then named the conferences offensive player of the year. One of the big differences from this year and last year was just the amount of weapons (on offense), said the economics major from Paramus, New Jersey. Last season, he placed ninth in the Payton Award voting for the FCSs outstanding player. As the quarterback, you need help out there, and theyre really just giving it their all. During the regular season, Robertson led the FCS in passing efficiency (182.99), throwing for 2,629 yards and 34 touchdown passes against only three interceptions. He rushed for 978 yards and nine touchdowns, and was responsible for 260 points - the most in the nation. Robertson is on pace to graduate after the spring semester, but he plans to pursue a masters degree next year and direct the Nova offense again as a redshirt senior. He hopes to work on Wall Street in the future. For now, he will keep doing his best work in an opponents end zone. 2014 WALTER PAYTON AWARD VOTING In the 2014 Walter Payton Award voting, there were 160 ballots cast by a national panel of sports information and media relations directors, broadcasters, writers and other dignitaries. The results for No. 4-25 were as follows: 2014 Walter Payton Award.......1st....2nd....3rd....4th....5th....Total 4. Vad Lee, James Madison...........9.....18.....12.....17.....12.....199 5. Tannehill found it difficult to click all day

Created Mon Jan 25, 2016 10:15 am by wangheng Mon Jan 25, 2016 10:15 am in category Allgemein.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. James Harden Rockets Jersey . -- The handshakes and backslaps exchanged in the Miami Dolphins locker room late Sunday afternoon were gestures of consolation, not celebration, before players quietly slipped out the back door at the end of another disappointing season. Miami was eliminated from the scramble for the AFCs final wild-card berth by the New York Jets, who thrived in the role of spoilers against their archrivals and won 20-7. The Dolphins blew an early lead to complete a December collapse that will keep them out of the playoffs for a fifth straight year. "Its definitely going to take a little while to get over this one," quarterback Ryan Tannehill said. New Yorks Geno Smith led three long scoring drives, ran for a touchdown and threw for 190 yards, while two interceptions by rookie Dee Milliner and one by 35-year-old Ed Reed prevented a Miami comeback. The Dolphins (8-8) squandered a shot at their first post-season berth since 2008 by losing the final two games to non-playoff teams, including a shutout defeat at last-place Buffalo. It was a dismal end to a roller-coaster season that included a four-game losing streak, a bullying scandal that drew national scrutiny, and a December surge that briefly left the Dolphins in control of their playoff destiny -- but turned out to be a tease. "Our record is 8-8, and thats the definition of average," cornerback Brent Grimes said. "We felt like we could be a much better than average team, so were disappointed. We messed up in the last two games. Weve just got to live with that." The Dolphins were outscored 39-7 in those final two games. Now owner Stephen Ross must decide whether to shake up a regime led by second-year coach Joe Philbin and sixth-year general manager Jeff Ireland. "You have to earn your way into the playoffs. Clearly we didnt do that," Philbin said. "The results start with me. The head coach is responsible for the results. The offence, the defence, the special teams, the record -- it starts with me. Lets not stand here and blame the players." The Jets (8-8) celebrated as though theyre playoff-bound but will sit out the post-season for the third year in a row. After the game, owner Woody Johnson announced that coach Rex Ryan would return for a sixth season in 2014. Ryan, whose future had been in question, said Johnson gave him the news before the game. When players were told afterward, they cheered in the locker room. "Ill say this -- I love being the head coach of the New York Jets, plain and simple," Ryan said. "You put everything youve got into it. I never wanted to go out this way. Weve missed the playoffs three straight years, and that bothers me, no question." The Jets made sure they were joined on the post-season sideline by Miami. The only points of the seasons final two weeks for the Dolphins put them ahead 7-0 in the second quarter, but the Jets rallied by mounting touchdown drives of 71 and 80 yards on their final possessions of the first half. When Smith scored on a 7-yard, third-down keeper up the middle with 3 seconds left for a 14-7 lead at halftime, an excited Ryan ran on the field to celebrate with his players. Fans were booing in the first half and streaming for the exits in the final minutes. Smith drove the Jets 63 yards to set up a field goal that gave them a 17-7 cushion with 4:18 left, and on the next play Reed grabbed a deflected pass for his 64th career interception to all but seal the victory. Milliner stopped a Miami threat in the third quarter with a diving interception of Tannehill one play after Mike Wallace dropped a potential touchdown pass that would have tied the game. The Jets played like a team with nothing to lose, which they were, and eager to spoil Miamis season. They kept the Dolphins off balance with swarming defence and imaginative play-calling, including 294-pound defensive lineman Sheldon Richardsons 1-yard plunge for his second rushing touchdown this season. Running back Bilal Powell threw a 30-yard completion to set up the Jets field goal. Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline left the game in the first quarter with a left knee injury, while Wallace and Tannehill found it difficult to click all day. Tannehill overthrew an open Wallace deep, and Wallace slipped and fell on Milliners first interception. They did combine for a 5-yard touchdown to cap an 89-yard drive. But the Dolphins running game sputtered, as usual, and Tannehill finished with a woeful passer rating of 42.1. "It cant get worse than this," Wallace said. "We let them win. We let them dominate the game. We knew what we had on the line, and we didnt come up with the plays we needed." Notes: Hartline limped out of the game after a 25-yard reception that put him over the 1,000-yard mark for the second year in a row. ... Jets reserve CB Kyle Wilson left in the first half with a knee injury and didnt return. ... Before the game, former LB-DE Kim Bokamper, WR O.J. McDuffie, RB Mercury Morris and G Keith Sims were inducted into the Dolphins Walk of Fame. Paul Millsap Swingman Jersey . Aiken had five birdies on the front nine and five

On paper it looked like an expected result. New Balance 574 Offerta . Aston Villa 0 Manchester City 2. Yes, it was yet another home loss for Aston Villa and they certainly have had far too many of those in recent years, yet there was something rather different going on at Villa Park on Saturday. The pulse was back. Ultimately, the team ended up with nothing; running out losers courtesy of goals from two world class stars, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero, yet this was not a familiar story for Villa fans. They, more than most, know too well what woeful looks like. They have certainly sat through enough of it the last three campaigns. Massive financial cutbacks were required following the Martin ONeill era, a time many look back at as being a successful period for the club based on three straight 6th place finishes, yet it was a time of great turmoil financially. By the end of the 2009-10 season, the clubs turnover reached 90 million pounds, of which an incredible 88 per cent (80m) was being spent on players wages, an unsustainable figure for any business. It was time for them to pay for the relative success they achieved on the field. Villa plummeted from 9th to 15th in the 2011-12 season winning just four home matches, the lowest in club history. The crowds also dropped as the fans had no connection to manager Alex McLeish, a former Birmingham City boss who many in the area despised. 2010-11 attendance - 706,685 at an average of 37,194 (8th highest in the PL) 2011-12 attendance - 643, 590 at an average of 33,873 (9th highest in the PL). Paul Lambert arrived as manager in June of 2012 and with it came a new direction as many young, cheaper players from the lower leagues in England were signed. Lambert gambled on youth and it almost cost Villa their Premier League status. Home form wasnt much better than the previous year as they won just five matches, yet the fans returned coming closer to the figures in 2010-11 than in 2011-12. 2012-13 attendance - 666,135 at an average of 35,060 (10th highest in the PL). Villa were equally poor at home last season. Under Lambert they showed no progress in taking over games, struggling to keep the ball and being forced into a counter-attacking side that many said they were better suited to play away from home. Although that was true it was actually an indictment on the team rather than it being a positive system by design. Far too often they simply couldnt control games against inferior teams. They managed to reach six home wins last season but for the third successive season they were in a relegation fight into the last month. Still the crowds came, remarkably improving on the year previous. 2013-14 attendance - 685,535 at an average of 36,081 (9th highest in the PL). Of the 14 teams who played in each of the three seasons (2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14) Villa were last in terms of league home wins (57 games played): Man City 49 Man Utd 40 Chelsea 39 Arsenal 36 Everton 35 Tottenham 35 Liverpool 31 Stoke City 24 Fulham 22 Norwich 21 Swansea 20 West Brom 19 Sunderland 17 Aston Villa 15 Results and poor performances at Villa Park alone were not the reason for Villas struggles but they were one of the main reasons why many of the loyal fan base had grown tired of Paul Lambert as manager. He certainly didnt help his case losing cup matches to lower league opposition at Villa Park, also. Lambert, however, was rewarded with a four year extension last month after the club raced to 10pts through the first four games. Predictably, they have now lost three straight matches to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City as they continue on a run where they play five successive matches against the teams that finished in the top five last season. They were already behind in the first halves against Arsenal and Chelsea but it took Man City 82 patient minutes before they tipped the balance at Villa Park. Yet, this was not a game where Villa simply sat deep and invited pressure on. Naturally Citys talent shone and they were able to dictate much of the possession but Villa showed real signs of progression that will certainly help them improve against much weaker teams than Man City this season. An English Triangle Lambert deserves credit for addressing an alarming lack of experience (and quality) in his squad this summer and bringing in (and back) some senior players, but one area he didnt need to make many adjustments to was central midfield. Many young players simply didnt progress under Lamberts tutelage but two that did were midfielders Ashley Westwood and Fabian Delph. Both were excellent for much of the last two seasons but the Scots insistence to often play them in a 4-2-3-1 very often left them exposed. At the end of the transfer window in August, he added a third English midfielder, signing Tom Cleverley on loan from Manchester United. When healthy, the three have played every minute together since and already have a tremendous understanding of their roles. Westwood, who captained the team against Manchester City with Ron Vlaar and Gabriel Agbonlahor unavailable, sits slightly deeper of the three, centrally, but is far from a midfield destroyer. He presses well and reads the game well but his greatest assets are his passing and ability to find space. These are crucial when Villa start transitions. Delph, rightfully rewarded with an England call-up last month, covers much more ground than Westwood, is more comfortable on the ball and can penetrate into the final third with his endless amount of energy. He doesnt have Westwoods passing but he is much more dangerous when in possession. Cleverley has been a superb addition that the pair needed. He operates to the right of Westwood, is a good passer but, like Delph, is intelligent in pressing and can make runs in behind defenders. The trio had an excellent match against a Man City team that once again experimented in midfield and still didnt get their balance right as they flipped from Toure and Fernandinho to Toure and Frank Lampard and eventually settled on Toure, Lampard and Fernando, a combination that was on the field for their goals but is still far from their best. Pass Completion Rate vs City Ashley Westwood 41/47 - 87 per cent Fabian Delph 40/45 - 89 per cent Tom Cleverley 53/56 - 95 per cent Total - 134/148 - 91 per cent Westwood to Delph (14) was the top pass combination for Villa in the game with Cleverley to Westwood (11) and Westwood to Cleverley (10) not far behind. The trio also combined for 10 interceptions. Statistics tell only part of the story. Their collective pressing was intelligent and rarely did they allow creators like David Silva and Toure in behind them. It was no coincidence that both City goals came from when they finally found the key to the space vacated behind the trio. In possession they switch the play well while Delph and Cleverley can break away on the break and create overlaps out wide with full backs or wingers. Star striker Christian Benteke returned for 30 minutes against Man City and linked up well with the three Englishmen in behind him. Results may have not gone their way lately but there is certainly many reasons for the Villa Park faithful to be optimistic once the team returns following the international break. With three rare intelligent English midfielders together there should be no reason why they cant finally dictate home matches against teams not challenging for the top six. JOHANNESBURG, South Africa -- Home town players Thomas Aiken and Justin Walters moved into a tie for the lead at 17 under at the Joburg Open on Saturday as overnight pace-setters Edoardo Molinari and David Horsey lost ground. Aiken carded a 9-under 63 on the East Course at Royal Johannesburg and Kensington, while Walters shot an 8-under 64 to open a two-shot lead on the chasers. The Johannesburg-born pair were clear of South Koreas Jin Jeong (66) on 15 under heading to the final round of the European Tour event. Finlands Roope Kakko is 14 under and another stroke back. Aiken had five birdies on the front nine and five on the back, while Walters opened with five birdies on the front and finished with an eagle to draw level with Aiken after putting his second to within two feet on No. 18 and tapping in. Walters has never won on the European Tour. "Ive got one more round tomorrow and Im so happy that Ive put myself into a strong position," Walters said. "Im super excited for tomorrow because its what we play for." South Africans have won five of the seven previous Joburg Opens. Molinari and Horsey appeared to be the strongest challengers to that strong home record after leading on Friday, but both slipped up as the action moved to the longer, tougher East Course at Royal Joburg for the last two rounds. New balance 996 Italia. Italian Molinari struggled to a level-par 72 to slip six shots behind the leaders and Horsey, following a blistering 63 on Friday, finished with 10 straight pars to be five shots behind on 12 under. Aiken, a two-time winner on the tour, was impressive after dropping his only shot of the day on No. 2. His good friend Walters also had just one drop, on No. 16, before finishing with a flourish with his three on the par-5 last hole. Jeong also collected an eagle on the way to his 6-under 66 and Kakko eagled No. 18 to claw back the two shots he lost with a double bogey on No. 4. Scotlands Alastair Forsyth and South Africas George Coetzee were 13 under and tied for fifth. Players are also chasing three places at the British Open in July after the Joburg Open was announced as a qualifying event for Julys championship at Royal Liverpool. The three highest-placed finishers in the top 10 not already qualified will win a place at the Open. Former Masters champion Charl Schwartzel continued a mediocre tournament with a 72 on Saturday to go with his 69 and 70 for a tie for 65th on 4 under. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

Lawrence, KS (SportsNetwork. Stephen Curry Warriors Jersey .com) - Perry Ellis had 15 points and five rebounds to help give No. 12 Kansas an 86-54 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday. Kelly Oubre had 14 points, Cliff Alexander gave 12 points and five boards and Frank Mason had 10 points and five assists for the Jayhawks (13-2, 2-0 Big 12), who have won four straight. Everybody played well today, Kansas head coach Bill Self said. We shot the ball fairly well, especially in the second half, and the starters were good, but I thought our bench was solid too. Justin Jamison had 12 points for the Red Raiders (10-6, 0-3), who have dropped their first three games to open conference play. Kansas led this game from start to finish, as the Jayhawks built an 11-2 lead after Wayne Selden put in a basket five minutes in. An Alexander dunk gave the Jayhawks their first double-digit lead at 18-7 with 10 1/2 minutes left in the first half, and it was an 18-point lead with seven minutes left in the period on a pair of free throws from Mason that made the score 29-11. Kansas eventually took a 42-25 lead into the break, then scored the first 11 points of the second half as Ellis hit a pair of threes, with the second making it a 53-25 game 3 1/2 minutes into the second half. The Jayhawks led by as many as 38 the rest of the way. Their sheer physical size made it tough for us, Texas Tech head coach Tubby Smith said. We have to compliment Kansas, they are a very talented team, the most talented team we have played so far. Game Notes Texas Tech plays at Kansas State on Wednesday ... Kansas hosts Oklahoma State on Tuesday ... Kansas leads the series with Texas Tech 28-4 and has won 11 straight against the Red Raiders. Also, the Jayhawks are a perfect 15-0 at home against Texas Tech. Kyrie Irving Swingman Jersey . -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have released veteran guard Uche Nwaneri, who started 63 of the teams last 64 games and didnt miss a snap last season.KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. - Even with his surgically repaired back still nowhere near perfect, defending champion Andy Murray needed only 73 minutes to beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-4, 6-1 at the Sony Open on Tuesday and set up a quarterfinal with Novak Djokovic. "My game is getting there," said Murray, the No. 6 seed, who acknowledged he was dealing with a sore back. "The last six sets Ive played, very high-level tennis, very few errors." Hell need to keep it that way against Djokovic, who eased past Tommy Robredo 6-3, 7-5. The second-seeded Djokovic even gave back a point in the second set. A groundstroke from Robredo clipped the baseline and Djokovic couldnt handle it, but the ball was erroneously called out. After a review showed the ball was in, the point was ordered to be replayed. Djokovic shouted "Its OK, its OK" as the fans applauded his sportsmanship. "For me, its something that is part of the sport, fair play," Djokovic said. "I expect everybody else to do the same. Of course, not everybodys the same, but for me, thats something thats normal. Just a normal, natural reaction." Top-seeded Rafael Nadal downed 14th-seeded Fabio Fognini 6-2, 6-2. Nadal has dropped a total of nine games in six sets so far in this tournament. Singles players with a combined 66 Grand Slam victories were in action Tuesday, including Roger Federer ó a winner of 17 of them himself. And he looked very much like the Federer of old, needing only 49 minutes to beat ninth-seeded Richard Gasquet 6-1, 6-2. "Look, things went well out on the court today," Federer said, clearly understating matters. Federer, the No. 5 seed, had 25 winners to Gasquets eight, converted five of his six break chances and won 92 per cent of his first-serve points in the second set. Next up for Federer is 20th-seeded Kei Nishikori, who upset No. 4 David Ferrer 7-6 (7), 2-6, 7-6 (9).. James Harden Authentic Jersey. . Ferrer had beaten Nishikori in the same round at Key Biscayne a year ago, their most recent meeting before Tuesday. No. 22 Alexandr Dolgopolov of the Ukraine also pulled off an upset, topping third-seeded Stanislas Wawrinka 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 to reach the quarterfinals. The last American in the mens draw was ousted when 10th-seeded John Isner lost to No. 7 seed Tomas Berdych 6-3, 7-5. On the womens side, Maria Sharapova rallied from a break down in the first set to oust Petra Kvitova 7-5, 6-1 and earn a spot in the semifinals. Shes been a finalist at Key Biscayne five times, but never the champion. "I love the energy here," she said. The fourth-seeded Sharapova, who needed three-setters to get through her two most recent matches at Key Biscayne, feasted on 30 unforced errors by the eighth-seeded Kvitova. Sharapova won 11 of the final 13 games and moved into a semifinal matchup with Serena Williams, the defending champion who won 62 of 100 points in her 6-2, 6-2 romp over fifth-seeded Angelique Kerber. Williams broke Kerber twice in each set, faced only one break point and held a more than 2-to-1 advantage in winners. "When youre playing champions, you like to play your best," Williams said. "She always gives me her best. ... I love playing her. I really do. It doesnt matter what surface. Shes one of my favourite people to play." Sharapova said she was eager to face Williams again. "Its no secret that shes been a big challenge of mine, an opponent that obviously I would love to beat," Sharapova said. Also, former No. 1 Martina Hingis teamed with Sabine Lisicki to reach the doubles quarterfinals. And foot and vehicle traffic outside the tennis centre was briefly halted during the night session when a suspicious backpack was found near the main gate, but Miami-Dade police responded and quickly determined there was no threat. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork. Nike Air Force 1 Wit Dames .com) - Markieff Morris and Gerald Green both scored 21 points and the Phoenix Suns overcame a halftime deficit to rally past the Philadelphia 76ers, 112-96, on Friday. Eric Bledsoe tallied 17 points and eight assists and Goran Dragic had 10 points and a season-high 10 boards for Phoenix, which returned home following a four-game road trip that ended with a 137-134 overtime loss in Oklahoma City on New Years Eve. The Suns have swept the season series with Philly each of the past two seasons, winning the four games by a combined 67 points. Tony Wroten fell three points shy of his career high with 28 off the bench for Philadelphia, losers in four straight following a pair of wins to kick off a seven-game road trip. Michael Carter-Williams posted 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists. I was very happy with our effort, said Sixers coach Brett Brown. Never once did we feel sorry for ourselves or hang our head. We competed for the whole 48 minutes. Wroten had 15 of Philadelphias 30 second-quarter points. He capped the second with a three-point play with 1.4 seconds left, as the Sixers overcame a 10- point deficit midway through the period to take a 59-57 lead into halftime. Dragic and Markieff Morris hit consecutive 3s during an 8-0 run to start the second half. The Suns led from that point on, extending their lead to 80-68 on Miles Plumlees alley-oop from Bledsoe with 2:20 left in the period. But the Sixers had one more push. Wroten and Robert Covington made triples during an 11-0 flurry that had the visitors within a point. Phoenix scored the final four points of the third and first four of the fourth to regain control. Late in the fourth quarter, with the game well in hand, the Suns became the first team in NBA history to play a pair of brothers on the court at the same time, as Zoran Dragic joined his brother Goran in a lineup that also included both Morris twins, Markieff and Marcus. It feels awesome to make NBA history with two sets of brothers on the same team playing together, said Goran Dragic. Im just happy that he got an opportunity to play well in those two minutes. Game Notes Eight Phoenix players scored seven points or more, with five finishing in double figures ... The Suns shot 14-for-16 from the foul line and 14-for-32 from behind the arc. Nike Air Force 1 Wit Heren . In the end, Ervin Santanas desire to pitch in the National League and his willingness to play the waiting game won the day when he signed a one-year deal with the Braves worth a reported $14. Asics Gel Lyte v Zwart . -- No. 3 Ohio State relied on a rare commodity to derail Purdues young shooters Tuesday.NEW ORLEANS - The NBAs best and brightest head to the Big Easy on Sunday night to play in the 63rd All-Star Game at Smoothie King Center. You can watch all the action on TSN with coverage beginning at 7pm et/4pm pt. LeBron James of the Miami Heat was the leading vote-getter as he starts his 10th All-Star Game. "Its great being here, man, and its nice to see all your fellow guys around the league, both East and West," said James. "Im honored to be here once again and excited to be part of this." He is joined in the Easts starting lineup by Heat teammate Dwyane Wade (10th appearance), Clevelands Kyrie Irving (2nd), Indianas Paul George (2nd) and New Yorks Carmelo Anthony (7th). The leading vote-getter out West was Oklahoma Citys Kevin Durant, who finished second to James in overall voting and will be in his fifth All-Star Game. Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors is going to make his All-Star debut as he earned the most votes in the West backcourt. Kobe Bryant was voted into the other starting spot, despite playing just six games this season. His knee injury precluded him from participating and commissioner Adam Silver named New Orleans Pelicans Anthony Davis to replace him on the roster. Head coach Scott Brooks of OKC selected Bryants replacement in the starting lineup and that man will be Brooks former player, James Harden of the Houston Rockets. LA Clipper Blake Griffin (4th appearance) and Minnesotas Kevin Love (3rd) round out the starting five. Pacers skipper Frank Vogel will coach the Eastern Conference team. The reserves, as always, were selected by the conference coaches and offered little in terms of controversy. Much like the fan vote, coaches were tasked with selecting two backcourt players, three frontcourt players and two wild-cards. The visitors fromm the East will have newbies in Washingtons John Wall, Torontos DeMar DeRozan and Atlantas Paul Millsap. Nike Juvenate Grijs. Miamis Chris Bosh will make his ninth appearance and fellow veterans Joe Johnson of the Brooklyn Nets (7th), Indianas Roy Hibbert (2nd) and Chicagos Joakim Noah (2nd) complete the second unit. The Western reserves are a more veteran-laden group with Dallas Dirk Nowitzki (12th), Clipper Chris Paul (7th), San Antonios Tony Parker (6th) and Dwight Howard (8th) of the Houston Rockets. Portland has two representatives in LaMarcus Aldridge (3rd) and Damian Lillard (1st). Davis will make his All-Star debut in just his second season. "I stayed in the gym last summer trying to get better, and Im doing the same thing this summer. And I have a lot to work on," said Davis. "And to be selected in the All-Star Game and the numbers that Im putting up is amazing, but I know that I have a lot to do." The West is on a three-game winning streak. Last year, Paul earned MVP honors with 20 points, 15 assists and four steals as the West prevailed, 143-138 in Houston. Durant became the first player in history to score 30-plus points in three straight All-Star games. One of the most intriguing aspects of this matchup, (other than both teams in sleeved uniforms), is with the new voting regulations, the East doesnt have a traditional big man in the starting lineup. James has a wide array of post moves and he may be forced to jump center. He, Anthony and George might have a hard time matching up with the much bigger frontline of Durant, Griffin and Love. "I guess it would probably help more, but Im okay with the way its done," coach Vogel said of fans no longer voting for a center. The West has taken four of the last five meetings and five of the last seven. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '
