KITZBUEHEL Wholesale Pernell McPhee Jersey , Austria (AP) Aksel Lund Svindal made a triumphant return to the hill where a downhill crash almost ended his career two years ago.

In the opening event of the 78th Hahnenkamm races, the 2010 Olympic super-G champion led a Norwegian 1-2 finish ahead of Kjetil Jansrud on Friday in the last World Cup race in the discipline before the Pyeongchang Games.

It was Svindal’s 16th career super-G victory but first since winning in Kitzbuehel in 2016, a day before he badly injured his right knee. He was thrown off the course, landed in the safety netting on the Streif and underwent surgery for a ruptured ACL and damaged meniscus. Months later, he said the injury had nearly forced him into retirement.

      Article continues below ...
On Friday, Svindal dominated the super-G Wholesale Jaire Alexander Jersey , which was delayed and moved to a different course higher up the hill because overnight snow and rain affected the lower part of the original course. The move meant the race included even more sections of the downhill course than usual.

Thousands of spectators followed the race on large video screens because the finish was out of sight.

”This is definitely something special. It was a special race with the finish high up on the hill,” said Svindal, who beat Jansrud by 0.50 seconds. ”Everyone was a bit nervous as we were not sure what to expect.”

Austrian teammates Matthias Mayer and Hannes Reichelt were third and fourth, 0.56 and 0.57 behind, respectively.

Josef Ferstl of Germany, who won the previous super-G in Val Gardena Authentic Bryce Petty Jersey , Italy, last month, was 1.71 behind in 18th.

It was Svindal’s 35th career win, and 30th in a speed event, trailing only Austrian standout Hermann Maier’s total of 39 downhill and super-G wins.

Svindal, who will aim for his first downhill win in Kitzbuehel in Saturday’s race Isaiah Oliver Super Bowl LI Jersey , finished in the top 10 of all three previous super-G races this season but had not reached the podium.

Still hampered by knee problems, Svindal believed his reduced training schedule affected his super-G form.

”In downhill you have training runs which give you more confidence,” he said. ”The downhill tomorrow will be very exciting but the weekend couldn’t have started better.”

Winning the last super-G before the Olympics does not make Svindal an obvious favorite for the Feb. 15 race in Jeongseon, South Korea. Only once did the winner of the last World Cup race also take the Olympic super-G title – in 1998 when Maier achieved the feat.

The result closed the gap in the super-G standings between Svindal and leader Jansrud to 46 points, with Vincent Kriechmayr another 14 points back in third place. The Austrian trailed Svindal by 1.29 seconds in 10th place on Friday.

Jansrud called the race ”a difficult super-G for all.”

”No one had experience on this course,” the 2014 Olympic super-G champion said. ”Aksel and I raced really well. Two moose on the podium Authentic Jason Heyward Jersey , that makes us happy.”

After days of snow and rain, the weather was expected to improve for Saturday’s downhill.

According to the FBI Jerome Baker Super Bowl LI Jersey , four women die everyday as a result of domestic violence and about 130,000 women report that they've been victims of rape or attempted rape annually. Because of statistics like this, many women enroll in self-defense classes to learn the skills they need to defend themselves.

The thing is, a short-term self-defense class may not address all of the areas you need to be able to fully defend yourself. While martial arts classes won't specifically train you for combat and fighting, they will give you the ability to defend yourself if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to practice self-defense. The best part is that this self-defense isn't always physical. What most people don't know is that in a good martial arts class you'll learn a variety of skills to help you gain the awareness Adidas Mike Green Jersey , peace and physical conditioning you need to be a stronger person, in all aspects of your life.

Confidence. All the physical defense skills in the world won't help if you don't have the confidence needed to use them. That's the beauty of martial arts training. In order to successfully train a martial art, you need to have your mind and body in tune with one another. This self-awareness gives you the confidence your need to control and defend yourself if needed. You'll be able to handle everyday and extraordinary situations without losing your temper. You'll be able to stand your ground. You'll appear to be (and will be) more confident - and people who appear to be confident are less likely to be the victims of violence because they don't look like "easy targets".

Focus and Awareness. While training martial arts, you need to focus and concentrate on what you are doing so that you don't injure yourself or those around you. This focus and concentration carries over into other aspects of your life as well. Soon, you'll find yourself better able to concentrate on work Wholesale Trenton Cannon Jersey , school and home. You'll even find yourself being more aware of your surroundings which can help you avoid potentially harmful or violent situations.

Peace. Training martial arts will also give you an inner peace that can change your life. First of all, to effectively train martial arts, your workout will always be changing. You'll never get bored with your workout because it will always be challenging to your abilities (both physical and mental). In addition to that, training martial arts is a great stress reducer. You probably already know that regular physical exercise can reduce physical stress, but what you don't know is that martial arts go one step further to reduce emotional stress as well. Activities such as martial arts that require you concentrate on your movements and your core strength can give you full stress relief in one activity.

Strength and Conditioning. When you train martial arts Wholesale Da'Ron Payne Jersey , you use your entire body. You cannot use just one muscle set at a time. The exercises are always changing and evolving to give you the maximum out of each training session. Martial arts also increase your flexibility which is great because people who are flexible suffer fewer injuries, have better posture and are better able to relax their muscles.

WASHINGTON (AP) The Columbus Blue Jackets went down two goals and three forwards and left with a Game 1 victory.

Artemi Panarin scored a beautiful goal 6:02 into overtime to give the Blue Jackets a 4-3 victory over the Washington Capitals on Thursday night in the first-round playoff series.

Panarin won it after Columbus lost Josh Anderson to a game misconduct Authentic Billy Williams Jersey , Alexander Wennberg with an apparent head injury and captain Nick Foligno after taking a puck to the face.

      Article continues below ...
None of that seemed to faze a team accustomed to overcoming injuries and digging out of deficits.

”In the playoffs, you find a little bit of extra energy,” said Blue Jackets forward Thomas Vanek, who scored from Wennberg’s spot on the power play and had an assist. ”That tonight was one of those games where we talked to each other, we pumped each other up Josh Jackson Super Bowl LI Jersey , we felt good and it never felt like we were going to lose this one.”

Maybe the Blue Jackets didn’t, but they didn’t make it easy on themselves, falling behind 2-0 on power-play goals by Evgeny Kuznetsov scored on Anderson’s five-minute major penalty for boarding and injuring Washington’s Michal Kempny. Not letting the game snowball out of control allowed Columbus to claw back in it with Wennberg’s goal in the second and then Vanek’s on the power play early in the third.

Vanek scored with Tom Wilson in the penalty box for charging Wennberg, a play the Capitals forward took responsibility for shifting the game in the Blue Jackets’ direction.

”That cost us the game,” Wilson said. ”That’s a critical moment. I’ve got to be better. Maybe pass up on that hit. We’ve got the lead there Antonio Callaway Jersey Elite , so maybe a big hit’s not needed.”

Foligno took a slap shot from Jakub Jerabek to the face just under his left eye 10 seconds after Vanek’s goal, making a gaping hole on the Columbus bench until he returned. Even though Devante Smith-Pelly scored to give the Capitals a lead 5:12 into the third, the Blue Jackets kept grinding away and didn’t let the game get away despite being under-manned.

”There was no panic on the bench there,” coach John Tortorella said. ”I think players enjoy that. It’s not a big deal to them when they lose players. They’re happy because they get on the ice quicker and more often. We just stayed with it.”

Norris Trophy-contending defenseman Seth Jones made things happen to send the game to overtime in the building where father Popeye spent two of his 11 NBA seasons. Jones drew a tripping penalty on Andre Burakovsky that Washington coach Barry Trotz called unnecessary, almost put the puck in his own net on the delayed penalty and then scored off a pass from Panarin on the ensuing power play with just 4:26 left in regulation.

That set the stage for Panarin to drive around fellow Russian Dmitry Orlov before going backhand to forehand and beating Philipp Grubauer top shelf to give the Blue Jackets their first series lead in franchise history in their fourth opportunity.

”Big goal for our team Wholesale Ryan Jensen Jersey ,” said Panarin, whom Columbus acquired in a trade from Chicago last summer after lacking finish in its series defeat to Pittsburgh. ”I’m happy because it was a hard game and a big win.”

It’s a big loss for the Capitals after Grubauer allowed four goals on 27 shots. Trotz gave Grubauer the nod over 2016 Vezina Trophy winner Braden Holtby to start Game 1 but said afterward he’d consider his goaltending options ahead of Game 2 Sunday in Washington.

”Philipp’s body of work has been good,” Trotz said. ”I thought he was fine. We’ll sit down and re-evaluate all the goals, evaluate our team and where we’re at and go from there.”

There’s no such controversy for Columbus, which got 27 saves on 30 shots from two-time Vezina winner Sergei Bobrovsky in his most recent chance to put his playoff struggles in the past. Bobrovsky bounced back from allowing a soft goal to Kuznetsov and stopped 10 of the other 11 shots he faced on the penalty kill.

”That’s the team effort Authentic Jerome Baker Jersey ,” Bobrovsky said. ”You just have to stay focused and play your game no matter what.”

NOTES: Trotz said Kempny, whose head hit the glass on Anderson’s hit from behind, would be re-evaluated Friday. … Wennberg never returned after his hit from Wilson. … Foligno missed a few shifts after he said Jerabek’s shot cracked his visor into his face. … Panarin had three points in one game after recording just one in the Blackhawks’ first-round loss via sweep last season. … Kuznetsov’s goals 29 seconds apart are the fourth-fastest on the power play by the same player in Stanley Cup playoff history. … Washington went to overtime for the seventh time in its past 14 playoff games. … Capitals C Jay Beagle missed the game with an upper-body injury. GLENDALE Authentic Sandy Koufax Jersey , Ariz. (AP) The Montreal Canadiens scored twice within two minutes of the third period to turn a 3-0 deficit into a one-goal game, and Arizona Coyotes goalie Antti Raanta wasn’t happy.

He shouted at his teammates on the bench during a break in the action, and the Coyotes responded. They scored two goals and finished off a 5-2 win over the Canadiens Thursday night.

”Hopefully I don’t need to do that anymore,” Raanta said. ”Great to get the win but also learn from those mistakes.”

      Article continues below ...
Raanta could laugh about it after the game, but coach Rick Tocchet and his staff were happy to see some fire from their No. 1 goaltender.

”That woke our team up. I love that,” Tocchet said.

Brendan Perlini scored twice in a 19-second span in the second period Wholesale Sam Darnold Jersey , and the Coyotes got their third straight win and fourth in five games.

Perlini scored his first two goals since a four-game streak from Jan. 18-25. Tobias Rieder had a goal and assist in the third period to help the Coyotes hold off Montreal.

”We’re just trying to get better every day. Last few games have been good for us but we still have a lot to learn and a lot to prove,” Perlini said.

Clayton Keller had a goal and three assists, and Raanta made 34 saves for the Coyotes. They have earned points in five straight games.

The Canadiens, on the second night of a back-to-back after playing at Colorado on Wednesday, lost their fourth straight. Brendan Gallagher scored his team-leading 21st goal of the season.

Gallagher and Daniel Carr scored less than two minutes apart in the third to cut the Coyotes’ lead to 3-2. Carr stuffed in the puck right after Arizona’s Max Domi miraculously stopped a shot by reaching his stick across the goal mouth and knocking it away.

Rieder’s power-play goal at 10:46 gave the Coyotes a key insurance goal. Then, Josh Archibald’s backhander with 3:59 to play made it 5-2.

Keller’s pass from behind the net found Perlini for Perlini’s first goal 57 seconds into the second Uchenna Nwosu Jersey Elite , and he got an assist on Perlini’s breakaway goal at 1:16.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson also had three assists, the second one being the pass ahead to Perlini for his second goal of the night and 16th of the season.

Carey Price had 16 stops for Montreal.

Keller’s third goal in five games gave the Coyotes a 1-0 lead at 13:56 of the first period. After a boarding penalty to Montreal’s Max Pacioretty gave the Coyotes a power play, Keller took a pass from Ekman-Larsson and had plenty of time to load up a wrist shot that zipped past Price.

Keller had hit the goal post with a shot moments before. He registered his team-leading 17th goal of the season and set a career high with a four-point game.

”Good power play. Just getting shots early there leads to passing lanes,” Keller said.

Raanta’s best save of the night came just over five minutes into the game. He reached far to his left for a glove save on Nikita Scherbak’s shot that was headed for the net.

”When you feel good, sometimes you can make that kind of save,” Raanta said. ”Need a little bit of luck also to get the puck straight to your paw.”

The Canadiens outshot the Coyotes 36-21 but couldn’t solve Raanta for the first two periods. A slashing penalty gave Montreal a power play early in the third Authentic Bryce Petty Jersey , and Gallagher put in a rebound at 5:46, making the score 3-1.

”Can’t dig yourselves holes, especially on the road,” Gallagher said. ”That’s what cost us.”

Since 1979 the NFL has been doing some sort of testing of players entering the NFL draft. Then in 1982 players and team scouts have gotten together to see player prospects put through many drills to see how players perform. This was the year of the first official combine. The Players were then put through interviews with teams and a comprehensive physical Markus Wheaton Super Bowl LI Jersey , medical and psychological testing program. This first combine took place in Tampa, Florida and was attended by one hundred and sixty-three players. An additional two camps were held elsewhere From 1982 - 1984.

In 1985 the National Invitational Camp (NIC) also known as the combine merged three camp locations as all 28 NFL teams agreed to participate in a single annual Combine to be held in Arizona. The NIC was then renamed the NFL Scouting Combine after the merger of the three camps.

In 1987 the Combine permanently moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to be held in the Hoosier Dome (later to be referred to as the RCA Dome).

In 2005 the surface of the RCA Dome was changed from AstroTurf surface to FieldTurf surface, resulting in faster 40m times.

The Combine stayed at the RCA Dome until 2009 when it then moved to the new Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts.

Below is an outline of the tests conducted at the Combine:

      Physical Testing:

      Physical measurements:

Each prospect has measurements of height, weight Authentic Kendall Wright Jersey , arm length and hand length. Also running backs and linemen’s measurements include body fat percentage measured using the bod pod.

      40-yard dash:

This is a power and speed test. They start from a three-point stance then the player runs 40 yards as fast as he can. Split times of 10 and 20 yards are then recorded to measure acceleration. the 10 yard dash time is very important for the offensive and defensive lineman because they usually don’t run any further than that when playing in games.

      Bench press:

The bench press is to test prospects upper body strength. A player will lift 225 lbs. as many times as he can. The only players who are not required to take part in this test are the quarterbacks and wide receivers. This test is most important for an offensive or defensive lineman.

      Vertical jump:

The player will jump off both feet straight up as high as he can to test his explosion and power. This test is one of the most important tests for receivers and defensive backs who often have to jump for the ball in games.

      Broad jump:

Very much like the vertical jump, this tests a player's lower body strength, explosion, and power. The broad jump is a measurement of how far a player can jump, not how high. The player will jump from a standing position forward off two feet as far as he can jump. This test is most importantly to test running backs, lineman Authentic Curt Schilling Jersey , and linebackers.

      20-yard shuttle:

Also known as the 5-10-5 shuttle This is an agility test including speed, explosion, and change of directions. The technique is very important in this test. Players are timed as to how fast they can go 5 yards laterally, then 10 yards back in the opposite direction and finally finish 5 yards back to the starting line.

      Three-cone drill:

This will test a players agility as the player runs around three cones placed in the shape of a capital L. The cones are placed with 5 yards between each other.

      60-yard shuttle:

This anaerobic test is a ladder shuttle of progressing distances.the player stands at the starting line and runs 5 yards and back than 10 yards and back than 15 yards and back while touching the line each time.

      Skill Testing:

The skill testing is position-specific drills. each player goes through football drill designed for their position. Sometimes these drills are overlooked due to the fact that everyone is more interested in the fitness test numbers. An example of the position specific drill is the one on one pass coverage.

      Psychology:

The Wonderlic test, an intelligence type test has been given to Combine players since the 1970s. In 2013 a new 60-minute long test was added to the testing program. The new, expanded player assessment tool offered much more robust and comprehensive assessment of players capabilities Authentic Baker Mayfield Jersey , aptitudes, and strengths. This test measures a players competencies, of learning style, motivation, decision skills, responding to pressure Authentic Thomas Rawls Jersey , and intellect.

      聽Medical:

      Injury evaluation:

Every player must go through X-rays and physicals to check their injuries and injury history. Any currently injured players at the combine will be looked at closely.

      Drug screening:

Each Player takes a urine test to test for illegal substances not allowed by the NFL. They are mostly looking for marijuana, cocaine and performing-enhancing drugs.

      Cyber test:

The Cybex test is not that important for prospects but injured and previously injured players results will be looked at closely by coaches. This test checks the flexibility and joint movement of every prospect. Prospects are connected to a machine to determine their results.

Think about how huge Kansas City’s stunning win at New England to kick off the season seemed to be. Doesn’t look so momentous right now with the Chiefs nose-diving in the AFC West while the Patriots do their usual tsunami over the AFC East.

The league and many of the pundits who follow it couldn’t find enough hyperbole for the first Sunday nighter, the Giants at Dallas.

Well, the Giants are in range for a top-three draft choice – and just benched Eli Manning, if you can imagine – and the Cowboys are plummeting out of contention.

So while there are games throughout September and October, it’s not until Thanksgiving hits that we can truly define what the BIG games are.

And beginning last week, they’ve arrived.

The Vikings are involved in a bunch of them, even though coach Mike Zimmer keeps espousing the company line.

”Go out and win as many games as you can and try to get in (the playoffs) and play as many games as you can at home Authentic Robbie Ray Jersey ,” Zimmer says. ”But we have to win and we have to take one game at a time. Talking about it doesn’t do anything.”

Actually, talking about it is all kinds of fun. So here are the games that should really matter and are worth getting excited about through Christmas.

      WEEK 13

Carolina at New Orleans; Minnesota at Atlanta; Philadelphia at Seattle; Detroit at Baltimore.

Mostly NFC matchups; the conference has been the far more interesting, with a slew of top teams as opposed to the top-heavy AFC (New England, Pittsburgh).

The NFC South, clearly the best division in football, gets the spotlight in the Big Easy and the ATL. The Panthers-Saints game is for the lead in that sector and matches a pair of squads showing the kind of balance that works deep into January. For once, this isn’t just about Cam Newton and Drew Brees Authentic Nomar Garciaparra Jersey , but about the running games and the defenses.

”We know what is at stake,” Panthers cornerback Captain Munnerlyn says. ”We took it personal last time because they beat us in our house. We have a chance to play them in their house and take the lead in our division. I’m back this week and I’m excited.”

Atlanta is showing signs of finding its 2016 form, and will be severely tested by Minnesota’s marvelous defense. Watch for how Falcons star receiver Julio Jones and Vikings under-the-radar pass catcher Adam Thielen perform. Both are on fire.

While the Seahawks are banged-up, penalty-riddled and not-so fearsome at home anymore, the Eagles can take another major step atop the conference.

Both the Lions and Ravens have wild-card aspirations and can’t afford a stumble.

      WEEK 14

New Orleans at Atlanta; Minnesota at Carolina; Seattle at Jacksonville; Oakland at Kansas City; Philadelphia at Los Angeles Rams; Baltimore at Pittsburgh.

      WOW!

The nastiest rivalry in the NFL, Ravens-Steelers, in the Sunday night game Authentic David Justice Jersey , possibly Baltimore’s last chance to make any headway in the AFC North. Another road go-round for the Vikings in the NFC South, where that division’s most-heated rivalry has the Saints at the Falcons. We’ll know a whole lot more about that sector after these games – and perhaps a whole lot more about how strong the Vikings are.

While both the Raiders and Chiefs have hit mediocrity, their matchups always are noteworthy for intensity. AFC South leadership will still be in question.

The Seahawks and Jaguars both will need this game, whether for division title hopes or wild-card chances. And the Eagles are staying out west after the Seattle contest for a matchup of the top two selections in the 2016 draft: No. 1 Jared Goff vs. No. 2 Carson Wentz.

      Week 15

New England at Pittsburgh; Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City; Los Angeles Rams at Seattle.

Very possible division deciders in KC and Seattle. Plus, by far, the AFC’s most intriguing confrontation, most likely with home-field advantage for the conference championship game on the line.

      Week 16

Minnesota at Green Bay; Atlanta at New Orleans; Los Angeles Rams at Tennessee.

OK Authentic Hyun-Jin Ryu Jersey , the Vikings probably will be playoff-bound and the Packers won’t, but hopefully we’ll get a glimpse of Aaron Rodgers again, back from his broken collarbone.

Falcons-Saints for the second time in three weeks, with lots on the line. And maybe a playoff-relevant home contest for the Titans against a Rams team headed to the postseason.

And these don’t even consider the final weekend of all divisional matchups.

THOUSAND OAKS Authentic Bernie Williams Jersey , Calif. (AP) While the Los Angeles Rams have been utterly transformed from the NFL’s worst offense last year to one of its best this season, there’s one area where the Rams are still lacking.

Teams and stars around the league are breaking out entertainingtouchdowncelebrations this season after the league relaxed its persnickety rules, but the Rams (8-3) haven’t put together any particularly memorable antics.

When running back Todd Gurley was asked why the Rams mostly aren’t participating in the wave of skits and choreographed dances, the NFL’s leader in points scored by a non-kicker had an answer that was a celebration in itself.

      Article continues below ...
”We get in there so much, we don’t have to do it every time,” Gurley said Thursday. ”So it’s cool.”

The Rams’ offensive revolution is still stunning to anybody who watched the miserable offenses on the franchise’s previous two teams under Jeff Fisher. After finishing last in the league in yards last season by a wide margin, the Rams are fourth in yards (379.0 per game) and second in points (329) while holding the NFL’s second-best scoring differential at 123 points.

Los Angeles faces the Arizona Cardinals (5-6) on Sunday in a rematch of a 33-0 victory for the Rams this season. Gurley put up 154 yards and rushed for a score in that game on a rugby field in London.

Gurley has scored 11 touchdowns this season, tops in the league. He said he isn’t strictly opposed to eventually breaking out a celebration Authentic David Price Jersey , but he is in no hurry.

”It would be cool, but I don’t have all day to be trying to do a whole cha cha slide and the electric slide rehearsal, and then you plan one thing and then you get in the game and it doesn’t go well,” Gurley said. ”But we’ll have to work on that sooner or later. … I’m too big to be dancing. That’s not my game. I’ll leave that to (Giants receiver) Odell (Beckham Jr.), (Vikings receiver) Stefon Diggs and the boys. They do a pretty good job of that.”

Perhaps Gurley might want to try something similar to the celebration performed by Rams rookies Josh Reynolds and Gerald Everett last weekend after Reynolds’ first career TD in a 26-20 win over New Orleans.

After Reynolds dived to catch Jared Goff’s throw, he ran over to Everett with the ball before turning and holding it aloft like Rafiki with the cub Simba in the iconic image from the animated film ”The Lion King.”

”Hopefully it catches on or something,” Reynolds said with a grin. ”I just wanted to do something where it gets talked about, and it seems like it’s getting talked about a little bit.”

Reynolds scored 30 touchdowns at Texas A&M Authentic Sammy Sosa Jersey , catching a scoring pass in each of his final eight games. If he gets another opportunity to celebrate soon with the Rams, Reynolds already has thought of his next performance.

”Oh, I’ve got some good ones,” Reynolds said. ”I’ve got some bullets.”

Gurley has scored just one touchdown in the Rams’ last three games after lighting up the box scores early this season. Los Angeles coach Sean McVay limited Gurley’s carries in the past four weeks to keep him healthy for key plays and blocking assignments – an unfortunate necessity with both of Gurley’s backups sidelined by injuries.

”I’m a running back, I’m always going to want more, but Coach knows what he’s doing,” Gurley said. ”He’s doing the best for the team. … We’re winning. As long as we’re winning, I’m cool. Everybody’s roles are going to have to decrease. I can’t get the ball every time. Someone is always going to have to be that guy to step up Authentic Lance McCullers Jersey , and that’s the thing about this team. It’s not all, `If Todd doesn’t get the ball 20 times, we’re going to lose.’ That’s a good thing.”

NOTES: Reynolds returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday. The rookie rolled his ankle during last Sunday’s game, but feels fine now. … CB Nickell Robey-Coleman and RB Lance Dunbar both participated fully in practice, and the Rams are hopeful both will play against Arizona after missing last week’s game. … Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is confident in rookie LB Samson Ebukam, who will make his first start Sunday in place of injured Connor Barwin. ”I think he’s ready to go,” Phillips said of Ebukam, who had a key sack of Drew Brees last week. ”He told me he’s nervous. I said Authentic Manny Ramirez Jersey , `Are you nervous?’ He said, `Heck yeah.’ I said, `Well, you better be.’ He’s got a lot of energy, and I like that about him.”

ORCHARD PARK Authentic David Justice Jersey , N.Y. (AP) Rob Gronkowski was apologetic for pile-driving his shoulder into the back of Bills rookie cornerback Tre’Davious White’s head.

Bills safety Micah Hyde was livid, calling it a dirty play.

Injuries and accusations overshadowed New England extending its winning streak to eight games and closing in on its ninth consecutive AFC East title following a 23-3 win on Sunday.

      Article continues below ...
Buffalo’s playoff hopes could be jeopardized after starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor hurt his left knee and had a towel draped over his head while being carted off the sideline early in the fourth quarter. And Gronkowski’s hit on White added to the Bills’ frustrations.

White was being evaluated for a concussion after he was struck by Gronkowski while lying on the ground after Buffalo’s rookie first-round pick intercepted a Brady pass with 4:50 remaining.

”That’s just dirty football. There’s nowhere in our game for that,” Hyde said. ”I don’t know if it was a shoulder, elbow, I’m not sure what it was. That was dirty.”

New England’s tight end was remorseful following the game.

”I’m not in the business of that. It was a lot of frustration,” he said. ”I just want to apologize to Tre’Davious White. I don’t really believe in those type of shots.”

Bills players were surprised Gronkowski wasn’t ejected, a sentiment shared by Dean Blandino Authentic Nick Markakis Jersey , the NFL’s former officiating director, who now is Fox TV analyst.

”In my opinion that was a play where Gronkowski should have been ejected from the game, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a substantial fine and maybe even a suspension going forward,” Blandino said following the game.

The hit sparked a shoving match between Hyde and Patriots receiver Danny Amendola. Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes was so upset he was flagged for making contact with an official. Gronkowski, Hyde and Amendola were penalized for unnecessary roughness.

”Obviously, it didn’t hurt the team there, but it definitely can in the future Authentic Dansby Swanson Jersey ,” Gronkowski said. ”And you definitely got to keep your cool.”

It wasn’t lost on Hyde that the two division rivals will meet at New England in three weeks.

”I’m sure you guys will talk about it,” Hyde said to reporters. ”Obviously, this is something we’re going to be thinking about.”

Rex Burkhead scored on 1 and 14-yard runs on the Patriots first two drives of the second half, and Stephen Gostkowski hit three field goals in a game New England never trailed.

The Pats (10-2) won their 14th consecutive road game – the second-longest streak in NFL history – and reached double-digits in victories for the 15th consecutive season. New England also improved to 30-5 against Buffalo since Patriots coach Bill Belichick was hired in 2000.

Tom Brady went 21 of 30 for 258 yards and an interception, while improving to 27-3 over Buffalo and breaking Brett Favre’s NFL record for most wins by a quarterback against any one opponent. Favre had 26 wins over Detroit.

Buffalo (6-6) lost for the fourth time in five games and continued sliding out of the playoff picture

Taylor’s status is uncertain. He would only nod ”yes” when asked by The Associated Press if he was all right while limping heavily on his left knee as he boarded a cart and was driven out of the stadium.

Taylor continued playing despite being hurt on the first series.

”He was in pain. You could see it on his face, the expressions he was making,” running back LeSean McCoy said. ”It shows you a true warrior.”

Coach Sean McDermott provided no update except to say Taylor was being evaluated.

Minus Taylor Authentic Ricky Vaughn Jersey , the Bills would have to back to rookie Nathan Peterman. The fifth-round draft pick proved he wasn’t ready two weeks ago, throwing five interceptions in the first half of a 54-24 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers .

On Sunday, Peterman went 6 of 15 for 50 yards. His opening drive ended on downs at the Patriots 1 when his fade pass intended for Zay Jones was batted away by cornerback Stephon Gilmore, Buffalo’s 2012 first-round draft pick. Gilmore spent his first five seasons in Buffalo before signing with the Patriots in free agency this past offseason.

      WILDCAT

The Bills introduced some trickery in a bid to spark their offense by using third-string quarterback Joe Webb in several wildcat formations.

Webb had three rushes for 27 yards, including a 22-yarder up the middle to open Buffalo’s fourth possession. Five snaps later, facing second-and-10 from New England’s’ 37, Webb slightly overthrew Travaris Cadet Authentic Kenta Maeda Jersey , who was open deep over the middle.

      NO BEEF WITH BRADY

Late in the first quarter after the Patriots finished a 14-play drive that ended with a 50-yard field goal by Gostkowski, CBS cameras caught Brady and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels in a heated discussion on the sideline.

”It’s just football,” Brady said. ”We’ve been around each other a lot. I love Josh.”

BALTIMORE (AP) The Baltimore Ravens need one more win to get into the playoffs.

The Indianapolis Colts must play one more game before their painful season finally comes to an end.

Baltimore (9-6) remained on course to end its two-year postseason drought by defeating the Colts 23-16 Saturday. With a win over Cincinnati at home this Sunday Authentic Babe Ruth Jersey , the Ravens will enter the playoffs as an AFC wild card.

      Article continues below ...
”We’ll be itching to back out there on Sunday and to get that game under day,” quarterback Joe Flacco said. ”But we’ve got to continue to do our business the right way, continue to do what we’ve been doing, and I think we’ll be all right.”

What the Ravens have been doing is winning – sometimes impressively and, as was the case Saturday, sometimes ugly. Despite letting the lowly Colts hang in there right to the end, the Ravens pulled out a much-needed victory.

”Good teams find a way, especially in December Authentic Jon Lester Jersey ,” safety Eric Weddle said.

The Colts (3-12), on the other hand, are still looking for that elusive winning formula. After a blocked punt put Indianapolis in position to force overtime, the Colts frittered away their last chance.

”A lot of things haven’t gone our way this year,” safety Darius Butler said.

Indianapolis closed the season on Sunday at home against Houston.

      —-

Some things we learned about the Colts and Ravens:

DROPSIES: The Ravens entered the game leading the NFL with 22 interceptions, thanks heavily to Weddle’s six picks.

He was in perfect position to snare No. 7 – and then he let Jacoby Brissett’s long heave go right through his hands.

”There is no excuse for that. That could be the difference in the game,” Weddle said. ”I don’t know if I deserve ice cream after that one.”

Although Baltimore has the best ball-hawking defense in the NFL, they didn’t get a single turnover Saturday. But that didn’t matter to the Ravens.

”We dropped two (but) as long as we get the win at the end of the day Authentic Satchel Paige Jersey , that’s all that matters,” linebacker C.J. Mosley said.

WINDS OF CHANGE: When Adam Vinatieri lined up to attempt a 60-yard field goal at the end of the first half, the Colts thought they had everything working in their favor.

Vinatieri had a gusty wind at his back and coach Chuck Pagano thought using the veteran kicker was a better bet than a Hail Mary pass.

Vinatieri placed the kick well, but he didn’t have quite enough leg. His try fell a little short of the crossbar, but was right in the middle.

”No hesitation throwing him out there for it,” Pagano said. ”He was just an eyelash away.”

It was a weird afternoon for Vinatieri, who made three field goals, including one that caromed off the right upright Authentic Yan Gomes Jersey , and had another blocked.

NEVER STOP WORKING: Although Mosley has been with Baltimore for only four years, he plays with the knowledge of a long-time veteran. He knows that some of his newer teammates have never tasted the postseason and wants to be sure they know what is at stake next week against Cincinnati.

”It’s crazy how many games you play in a season and it comes down to the last game,” Mosley said.

A year ago, Baltimore needed to win its last two games to get into the playoffs. The Ravens didn’t do their part, and Mosley has no interest in seeing history repeat itself.

”The guys from last year or two years ago, they haven’t been in a playoff game before,” Mosley said. ”It’s been a while. We have to make sure everybody is focused.”

FLAG DAY: The Colts were flagged for only two penalties for 19 yards, and the first call didn’t come until early in the fourth quarter.

But the two infractions Authentic Tom Glavine Jersey , both by cornerback Nate Hairston, were instrumental in extending a key Ravens drive that culminated with a 4-yard touchdown pass from Flacco to tight end Maxx Williams for a 23-13 lead.

A holding call on Hairston on a third-and-9 Flacco pass that went for seven yards gave Baltimore a first down at the Indianapolis 39-yard line. Three plays later, Hairston was whistled for pass interference on a sideline pass to Michael Campanaro, a 14-yard penalty that put the ball at the Colts’ 23.

”I’m not sure what I did,” Hairston said, ”but it is what it is.”

WASHINGTON (AP) Patrik Laine knows where he stands.

The Winnipeg Jets winger might not keep track of each time Alex Ovechkin or Evgeni Malkin scores Authentic Carlton Fisk Jersey , but he knows how many goals they have.

”I just sometimes look at the scoreboard and the score sheets,” Laine said. ”I always pretty much know where’s everyone at.”

      Article continues below ...
Laine and Ovechkin went into their showdown Monday night tied at 40 goals. Ovechkin scored twice and Laine once to keep the race for the Rocket Richard Trophy and pursuit of 50 goals red hot in the NHL’s stretch run.

At 19 years old, Laine is a real threat to win his first goal-scoring title, while Ovechkin at 32 is seeking his eighth 50-goal season and seventh Rocket Richard.

”Most great goal-scorers, when they’re in their early 20s is when they’re putting up all their big numbers,” Capitals owner Ted Leonsis said. ”It’s very, very unique and unusual for a player of Alex’s vintage to be staring 50 goals in the face.”

The goals race comes down to Ovechkin and Malkin – the Nos. 1 and 2 picks from 2004 – and Laine, the second selection in 2016 who has shown he deserves to be in the conversation for the best goal-scorer in hockey today.

”He’s got a gift for scoring goals,” Jets defenseman Ben Chiarot said. ”It’s even more profound that you look for him in the offensive zone because if he gets the puck – it’s crazy to say – it’s like a 60 Authentic Anthony Rizzo Jersey , 70 percent chance he’s going to put it in the back of the net. I’ve never played with anyone like that – that dangerous, that lethal.”

Winnipeg teammates aren’t shy to say Laine’s abilities are ”Ovechkin-like” because Laine is scoring as a teenager the way only the Washington Capitals superstar, Steven Stamkos, Auston Matthews and Ilya Kovalchuk have over the past two decades. Ovechkin is no doubt the greatest goal-scorer of this generation and on Monday became the fourth-fastest player in league history to 600.

Capitals coach Barry Trotz thinks 50 is a more important milestone for his Russian winger given his recent trajectory.

”The 600 will be something he’ll have forever, but I think he’ll put a lot of pride if he can get 50 this year,” Trotz said. ”I think the way he looks at it, it’s so hard to do and he had a down year (last season). He wants to show that he can still do it.”

Ovechkin soaked up 600 quickly and is now eight away from 50 with 13 games to go.

”It would be pretty amazing and pretty unbelievable,” Ovechkin said. ”I still have time, and (with) a little bit of luck Authentic Don Mattingly Jersey , a little bit of help from upstairs, I don’t know, we’ll see.”

Like Ovechkin, Laine said scoring down the stretch is important for team goals and he has certainly helped the Jets. Laine has scored 16 goals in his past 12 games

The most prolific young Finn since Teemu Selanne said winning the Rocket Richard Trophy has always been a dream, and now 50 is in reach as he clicks with linemates Nikolai Ehlers and Paul Stastny.

”You never know what’s going to happen,” Laine said. ”Ten games ago, I was at 25 and nobody was talking about even 40. There’s a lot of things that could happen. If we’re playing like this with Niky and Paul, why not?”

Ovechkin already has nine more goals than he put up all last season. Only Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Marcel Dionne have scored 40 goals in a season more times than Ovechkin.

”I don’t think people understand how hard that is to do Authentic Carl Yastrzemski Jersey ,” Toronto Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri said. ”He makes it seem so effortless. He’s got a very special shot.”

Jets center Andrew Copp wondered if Laine’s shot is even more special than Ovechkin’s. Copp hasn’t seen Laine score from the center red line yet but joked, ”I’m sure that day will come.”

”Ovi’s got a big, winding up wrister and it comes off just kind of so crazy whereas Patty, it’s almost like he’s throwing darts at the net,” Chiarot said. ”It’s just a little flick of the wrist and it’s kind of where he wants it. … I think it’s the most dangerous shot in the league.”

Jets coach Paul Maurice senses the confidence oozing from Laine just from watching him at practice. He can see an entirely different player from a month ago.

”If you’re getting close to 50, you’re feeling good about your game,” Maurice said. ”Any of these guys, confidence is a critical piece. That puck is off Patty’s stick where he wants it right now every time. So he’s feeling it, he’s feeling good.”

Malkin Authentic Tyler Naquin Jersey , who has 39 goals, right now might be the most dangerous player in the league. The Pittsburgh Penguins center is right there with Ovechkin, New Jersey Devils winger Taylor Hall, Stamkos and Tampa Bay Lightning teammate Nikita Kucherov and Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon in a crowded MVP race.

Playing on the same team as Sidney Crosby could leave Malkin underappreciated at times, but he’s playing some of the best hockey of his career.

”I have confidence right now,” Malkin said recently. ”It’s like every shot goes in. It’s funny sometimes. I’m trying to do my best.”

SANTA CLARA Authentic Mark Lowe Jersey , Calif. (AP) Jimmy Garoppolo has started his tenure with San Francisco better than any quarterback has done with a new team.

The player who brought hope to the 49ers after three-plus years of struggles in San Francisco will be in for his toughest test yet this week.

Garoppolo and the 49ers (4-10) host the playoff-bound Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4) on Sunday, facing their punishing defense that leads the NFL in fewest points allowed, most sacks and lowest yards per play against.

      Article continues below ...
”I look forward to it a lot, for our whole team,” coach Kyle Shanahan said. ”I do believe that they have as much qualities as anyone that it takes to win a Super Bowl; a top defense, a very good running game Authentic Dansby Swanson Jersey , a good offense, good special teams. When you see a team like that on tape that you believe has that ability, it’s a good thing, it’s a good challenge for your team to go against them and see where you’re at.”

The Niners have done quite well since making Garoppolo the starter earlier this month in Chicago. He joined Hall of Famer Y.A. Tittle as the only 49ers quarterbacks to win his first three starts with the franchise and is the first quarterback to do that with any team while throwing for at least 1,000 yards in those games, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

That performance is not lost on the Jaguars Authentic Bernie Williams Jersey , who can clinch their first division title since 1999 with a win.

”He is a really good NFL quarterback,” coach Doug Marrone said. ”We know that. That’s on film. That’s on tape. That’s not something we have to fabricate or make him seem better than he is. He’s as good as it gets right now for what’s going on around the league.”

While Garoppolo has played as well as any quarterback the past three weeks, the Jaguars have been tops in the league on defense all year with a unit modeled after the one that has been so dominant for years in Seattle.

Jacksonville leads the NFL in several defensive categories thanks in part to a quartet of Pro Bowlers in defensive end Calais Campbell, defensive tackle Malik Jackson, cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye.

”A lot of teams are adapting to this and so you see it all over the league now. Seattle started it and now teams are adapting it,” Garoppolo said. ”I think the players that they have make it unique. They have very talented players on every level of the defense. It’s going to be a good challenge for us.”

Here are some other things to watch:

RED-ZONE WOES: Perhaps the only area where Garoppolo has struggled has been in finishing drives. The 49ers have scored on 18 of 28 non-kneeldown drives since he took over as starter earlier this month. Only three of those scores were touchdowns. San Francisco has scored TDs on just three of 10 red-zone trips in those games Authentic Roger Clemens Jersey , the fourth-worst rate in the league during that span.

”It’s probably one of the toughest areas in football offensively to execute,” Garoppolo said. ”Everything has to go perfect down there.”

BORTLES’ BOOST: The Jaguars have gotten pretty strong play from their quarterback of late as well. Blake Bortles is the first Jacksonville quarterback to have three straight games with at least two TD passes and no interceptions. Bortles is averaging 301 yards passing during that span and leads the NFL with a 128.6 passer rating in December.

”Any time you have a defense play the way they do and any time you have the number one running game in the NFL, that makes a lot of things easier on a quarterback,” Shanahan said. ”Not to take anything away from him, but he’s doing exactly what he needs to do and he’s making plays doing it.”

GOOD FOR GOODWIN: The biggest beneficiary of Garoppolo’s arrival has probably been receiver Marquise Goodwin, who has 24 catches for 319 yards the past three weeks. Goodwin has topped the 100-yard mark the past two weeks and can become the first San Francisco player to do it three in a row since Jerry Rice had a four-game streak in 1995. The prolific numbers come as little surprise to Marrone Authentic Jeff Bagwell Jersey , who coached Goodwin during his first two seasons in Buffalo in 2013-14.

”I loved him,” Marrone said. ”He’s the fastest player I’ve ever seen on a field. And I’ve been around some fast players.”

TRAVELING BLUES: The Jaguars clinched their first playoff berth since 2007 last week but have gone even longer without winning on the West Coast. Jacksonville has lost eight straight games in the Pacific Time Zone and most of them haven’t been close. The Jaguars have been outscored by 20.9 points per game in that span since their last win out west on Jan. 2, 2005, at Oakland.

NEW YORK — The Tampa Bay Lightning proved Tuesday night they weren’t intimidated by a three-goal deficit.

On Thursday night Authentic Phil Niekro Jersey , Tampa Bay will try to overcome an even bigger foe: Mother Nature.

With the New York area digging out from another March snowstorm, the Islanders will host the Lightning on Thursday night, when the two Eastern Conference teams face each other for the final time this season.

      Article continues below ...
Both teams earned resounding wins Tuesday. The Islanders ended a three-game losing streak by beating the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-1. The host Lightning scored four unanswered goals in the final 25 minutes to stun the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3.

The comeback win by the Lightning (50-19-4) has them four points ahead of the second-place Boston Bruins in the Atlantic Division and allowed Tampa Bay to pull within two points of the Nashville Predators in the race for the Presidents’ Trophy.

If the Lightning are going to keep the pressure on the Bruins and Predators Authentic Jimmy Wynn Jersey , it will do so on shorter rest than usual. The storm that dropped a foot or more of snow on parts of metropolitan New York forced the postponement of Tampa Bay’s flight north Wednesday. Instead, the team is scheduled to travel Thursday morning.

“It doesn’t mean anything, doesn’t change anything,” Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev said following practice Wednesday. “Even if we travel on game day Authentic Jim Rice Jersey , we’re going to be ready for the game. (They’re) going to have time to nap and get ready for the game.”

The unseasonably snowy weather in the northeast couldn’t dampen the mood of the Islanders (31-32-10), who won Tuesday for only the second time in the last 13 games. The 2-9-2 skid has all but ended the playoff hopes for New York, which enters Thursday tied for last place in the Metropolitan Division with the New York Rangers.

Still, beating the playoff-bound and two-time defending Stanley Cup champions Penguins served to remind the Islanders it wasn’t long ago when they harbored hopes of a deep playoff run. New York opened the season 15-7-2 and still occupied a wild card spot as recently as Feb. 16.

“It’s been frustrating the last 25 Authentic Jose Cruz Jr. Jersey , 30 games,” Islanders center Mathew Barzal told reporters Tuesday night. “A lot of unfortunate things have happened. We took a turn for the worse and it’s unfortunate, because we were cruising pretty good there at the start of the year and things were looking good.”

Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy and Islanders rookie netminder Christopher Gibson are likely to start Thursday after earning wins Tuesday. Vasilevskiy recorded 27 saves against the Maple Leafs while Gibson, who made his fifth start in the last eight games as New York enters evaluation mode down the stretch Authentic Larry Doby Jersey , notched 36 saves against the Penguins.

Vasilevskiy is 3-2-0 with a 1.73 goals-against average and .952 save percentage in six career regular-season appearances against the Islanders. Gibson, who recorded his second NHL win Tuesday, has never faced the Lightning.

MIAMI GARDENS Minkah Fitzpatrick Jersey Elite , Fla. (AP) The Oakland Raiders headed home early Monday after a long trip, ready for a rest with their season back on track.

Derek Carr threw for 300 yards and Oakland completed a two-game East Coast swing Sunday night by beating the Miami Dolphins 27-24. It was only the Raiders’ second win since Week 2, but at 4-5 they’re still in the playoff chase.

”A real solid win on the road,” coach Jack Del Rio said. ”We’re ready to get home.”

      Article continues below ...
The Raiders spent the week practicing in Sarasota, Florida, after losing a week ago at Buffalo. Following a bye, their next game is Nov. 19 in Mexico City.

The Dolphins fell to 4-4. Here are things to know about their second consecutive prime-time defeat Adidas Ryan Kesler Jersey , and the Raiders’ change in direction:

      DEEP THREAT

Carr went 21 for 30. His favorite target was tight end Jared Cook, who made eight catches for 126 yards.

Seldom-used Johnny Holton had the biggest catch, a 44-yard touchdown reception on a long pass from Carr. Holton’s only other catch this year went 64 yards for a score.

”When he gets in the game, people are pointing him out – `Oh, the fast guy is in,”’ Carr said.

”Johnny can go get it, man Da'Ron Payne Super Bowl LI Jersey ,” Del Rio said.

      COMEBACK

Oakland’s Marshawn Lynch scored twice in his return from a one-game suspension for shoving an official. His 22-yard touchdown run was his longest gain this year, and he finished with 57 yards on 14 carries.

Carr said the offense was different with Lynch back.

”A lot more jokes, him talking trash to me,” Carr said. ”He’s our brother. We love him. The more we can run the ball, the more stress it takes off me. I’m all for that.”

      SLIPPING TO .500

Jay Cutler returned to give Miami’s worst-in-the-NFL offense some life. After missing one game with cracked ribs, he completed his first 16 throws and finished with 311 yards passing and three scores.

The offense also overcame the recent trade of leading rusher Jay Ajayi. Running backs Kenyan Drake and Damien Williams each made six catches, and Drake had a 42-yard run to set up a touchdown.

But now the defense is showing cracks. The Dolphins have allowed 95 points in the past three games Connor Williams Super Bowl LI Jersey , and they’re the AFC’s lone .500 team.

”Nobody wants to be 4-4,” defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh said. ”Luckily it’s halfway. We still have opportunities.”

Miami plays its third consecutive prime-time game on Monday, Nov. 13.

      MISSED OPPORTUNITY

Marshall Newhouse, the Raiders’ 330-pound tackle, briefly became an imposing ball carrier when he scooped up a Carr fumble and took off. He also fumbled when hit, and Miami recovered.

”I don’t really think he was thinking first down,” Del Rio said. ”He was thinking Paul Worrilow Jersey Elite , `I’m going to score.”’

      PROTEST

Dolphins players Julius Thomas, Michael Thomas and Kenny Stills knelt during the national anthem for the first time since coach Adam Gase established a rule requiring players either to stand for the anthem or stay in the tunnel.

Before recent games, the three players waited in the tunnel. But they told Gase the wait was interfering with their game preparation, according to a person familiar with the discussions.

The person said Gase told them he preferred they stand during the anthem but respected their right to express themselves and relaxed the team rule. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the Dolphins didn’t comment on the latest protests.

BEREA Wholesale Justin Reid Jersey , Ohio (AP) Corey Coleman has endured the pain of losing along with his Browns teammates for two months.

He gets to do something to stop it this week.

The speedy former first-round draft pick whose career has been slowed by twice breaking his right hand, will return to Cleveland’s lineup on Sunday when the Browns face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

      Article continues below ...
It’s another re-start for Coleman, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2016 draft. He was sidelined for six games last season with a broken right hand and then suffered an eerily similar injury almost one year to the day in September. Coleman leaped to make a catch against Baltimore, fell hard on his right hand and broke a different bone.

Now he’s physically healed and mentally stronger than ever.

”Stuff’s not going to go always as planned,” said Coleman, who had six catches for 62 yards and a touchdown in Cleveland’s first two games.

”You’ve just got to always be positive and keep on rolling. Don’t ever get discouraged about something. If I drop a pass Josh Rosen Jersey Elite , just keep positive energy, and over time, it’s going to work out.”

Coleman gives the Browns (0-9) a much-needed offensive playmaker. Cleveland’s receiving group has been a major disappointment, and Coleman’s speed will surely help rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer expand the field.

”He’s a burner,” said Kizer, who has cut down on turnovers lately. ”He is going to allow us to push the ball down the field vertically and everyone knows that Dante Pettis Jersey Elite , but just to add more playmakers to this team is never going to hurt us. We were getting in a little rhythm with the guys that we had and to add someone else to that rhythm is going to be a big benefit for us.”

Coleman’s return is a welcomed respite in a season devoid of much positive news for the Browns.

”I love to see him back,” left guard Joel Bitonio said Thursday. ”I know he was disappointed he got banged up earlier in the year. It’s an unfortunate injury. And he’s been practicing hard and working hard and you’ve seen him around the building studying and stuff. I think he’s ready to come back and make a name for himself.

”Anytime you bring back someone like Corey, it brings a little jolt to the offense. And just seeing him in the huddle this week has got me excited.”

Coleman still has to prove to the Browns that he can be durable and consistent. After he returned from his injury last season, Coleman made only 26 catches for 240 yards and a touchdown in his final eight games.

That’s not nearly enough production for a No. 1 wide receiver, which is why coach Hue Jackson challenged Coleman in the offseason to do more.

The most recent injury was a setback, but Coleman is determined to make up for lost time.

”I’m trying to do as much as I can to help us get a win Sam Hubbard Super Bowl LI Jersey ,” he said. ”It’s been a long wait. I’ve got to go out there and make plays and do my job.”

      To Jackson, that’s helping Kizer.

”By making plays, creating a little bit more separation, go up and make plays on the ball when need be,” Jackson said. ”You have to make some of those uncommon catches in games at times. Hopefully, Corey can provide that for us.”

NOTES: To make room for Coleman Wholesale Isaac Yiadom Jersey , the Browns waived WR Kasen Williams, who made just nine catches for 84 yards after he was claimed off waivers in September. … The team also waived DB Ibraheim Campbell from injured reserve and RB Terrence Magee was signed from the practice squad to Atlanta’s active roster. … Starting C JC Tretter (shoulder, knee, quad) and RT Shon Coleman (concussion) did not practice for the second straight day, but Jackson has not ruled them out of Sunday’s game.

WINNIPEG Dalton Schultz Jersey Elite , Manitoba — No starting goalie, top defenseman or No. 1 center?

      No problem.

Displaying depth that perhaps even they didn’t know they had, the Winnipeg Jets knocked off the top team in the NHL on Tuesday night, with a 3-1 decision over the Tampa Bay Lightning at Bell MTS Place.

      Article continues below ...
It was their first game without top-pairing defenseman Jacob Trouba, who is out six to eight weeks with an ankle injury suffered just before the All-Star break and their 13th without center Mark Scheifele, who resumed practicing in a non-contact jersey a few days ago after injuring his shoulder in late December. No. 1 goalie Connor Hellebuyck, meanwhile Authentic Da'Ron Payne Jersey , watched the festivities from the bench.

Jets captain Blake Wheeler, who had two assists in the victory, told The Winnipeg Free Press that it showed the Jets can play with the best.

“We’ve been confident in that, especially at home. It’s a little bit tough because we’re both coming out of a little bit of a break. But we still view it as a measuring stick to see where we’re at. It just shows, if we play that game, we give ourselves a chance to win,” he said.

Things aren’t going to get any easier on Thursday when the Vegas Golden Knights Adidas Matt Duchene Jersey , the No. 2 team in the league with 70 points, one behind Tampa Bay, come to town.

The first-year Knights, still the surprise story of the year, defeated the Calgary Flames 4-2 on Tuesday, a game in which they erased a 2-1 late third-period deficit with three goals in 53 seconds.

With a record of 33-12-4, they have equaled the best-ever first-year win total by an NHL team Vinny Curry Super Bowl LI Jersey , tying the Florida Panthers and Anaheim Ducks, which had twin 33-win seasons in 1993-94.

“It’s great for the franchise,” coach Gerard Gallant told The Las Vegas Review-Journal. “But there’s a lot of hockey left to play. The guys kept working and we got a little lucky. But it’s a big two points and a great way to start the road trip.”

By comparison, the Jets won 20 games during their inaugural season in 1979-80, after they had been allowed to protect two skaters from its WHA championship winning roster the year before and subsequently losing most of its core in a dispersal draft. The Golden Knights have benefitted from the most favorable — and fair — terms of entry into the NHL in league history. (Every other team could protect seven forwards, three defensemen and a goalie or a total of eight forwards and defensemen and one goalie and Vegas was allowed to pick one unprotected player from each.)

The Jets got some good news from sick bay on Wednesday when defenseman Dmitri Kulikov was a full participant in practice, a week after suffering a minor concussion.

Coach Paul Maurice told the Free Press it was encouraging to see Scheifele at the same skate “moving pretty darn well.”

“But he’ll stay where he is for I think at least another week before we start banging him around for a little bit. But he’s on track Authentic JK Scott Jersey , so we’re positive there,” he said.

NEW YORK (AP) Jimmy Vesey’s first career hat trick came at a good time for the struggling Rangers.

Vesey scored three times Kentavius Street Jersey Elite , Mats Zuccarello had two goals and New York beat the Carolina Hurricanes 6-3 on Monday night.

”It’s something you definitely want to accomplish,” Vesey said. ”I was just saying I remember it took me all four years in college to get one. It’s nice to have one.

      Article continues below ...
”Everyone dreams when they are a kid of scoring the big goal or scoring a hat trick. I think it’s something I will always remember, so it’s a great feeling.”

Vladislav Namestnikov also scored for the Rangers, who ended a three-game losing streak and earned their first home win since Feb. 9. Pavel Buchnevich and Mika Zibanejad each had three assists.

Backup goalie Alexandar Georgiev made 41 saves for his second win of the season.

Georgiev made a key pad save on Sebastian Aho late in the third period to preserve the lead.

”I knew they were coming hard,” Georgiev said. ”It’s just instinct how I stretched that pad.”

Teuvo Teravainen, Lee Stempniak and Victor Rask scored for the Hurricanes. Scott Darling Justin Reid Jersey Elite , who has struggled in his first season with Carolina, made 17 stops.

Tied at 3 in the third, Vesey took a loose puck at the left faceoff circle and wristed a high shot past Darling at 12:15.

”That’s where I was going,” Vesey said. ”I had a shot from a similar angle in the first period and I kind of misfired and put it lower than I wanted. I was definitely trying to go high blocker and just fortunately it went in.”

Zuccarello added an empty-netter at 17:23 for his 14th of the season and the 100th of his career, and Vesey capped his hat trick with an empty-netter in the final minute for his 15th goal this season.

The Rangers extended their home winning streak against Carolina to 15 games, dating to Jan. 5 Logan Cooke Jersey Elite , 2011. The streak is the longest for the Rangers against one opponent in franchise history. The Rangers also have won 24 of their past 28 games overall against the Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes have struggled with three wins in their past 12 games as they fade from the Eastern Conference playoff race.

”We are in a hole right now,” Stempniak said. ”We still think we are going to make the playoffs and we believe we can, but it gets harder with each loss. We have to put this one behind us, get ready tomorrow for a very good Boston team, and start getting wins and collecting points.”

It was Carolina’s second game since Hall of Famer Ron Francis was moved from general manager to a new role as the team’s president of hockey operations. New owner Tom Dundon plans to hire a new GM who will report directly to him.

With the Hurricanes on the power play, Rask tied it for the third time when he skated to a loose puck at the top of the zone and beat Georgiev for his 13th at 8:23 of the third period.

Tied at 2 in the second period Adidas Jake Guentzel Jersey , the Rangers took the lead with a quick power-play goal. Just 6 seconds after Noah Hanifin was sent off for slashing, Buchnevich had his shot from just inside the blue line deflected in by Namestnikov at 11:51.

It was Namestnikov’s 22nd goal of the season and his second as a Ranger since coming over in the deal that sent Ryan McDonagh and J.T. Miller to Tampa Bay at the trade deadline.

Buchnevich also had a nice play earlier in the period. He won a faceoff deep in the Hurricanes’ zone and drove to the net before sending a pass to Vesey, who scored on a wrist shot at 1:52.

”He (Buchnevich) didn’t tell me anything,” Vesey said. ”So once I saw him go forward, their D’s stick kind of stopped the puck a little bit and it was a quick 2-on-1. I just tried to get open and he made a great play.”

The Hurricanes rallied again. Stempniak jumped on a rebound and beat Georgiev for his second goal of the season at 7:48.

The Rangers opened the scoring about halfway through the first period. Neal Pionk’s shot from the right point missed the net and took a friendly bounce off the end boards to Zuccarello, who beat Darling stick-side at 9:06.

Zuccarello extended his goal-scoring streak to three games.

The Hurricanes answered 5 1/2 minutes later. Aho entered the Rangers zone and sent a quick pass to Teravainen Authentic John Franklin-Myers Jersey , who immediately sent a return pass to Aho. Aho shot it on net and Teravainen sent the rebound past Georgiev for his 20th of the season.

NOTES: The Hurricanes re-assigned F Valentin Zykov to the American Hockey League’s Charlotte Checkers. The 22-year-old Zykov, who leads the AHL with 30 goals, did not appear in any games since his recall on Sunday. … Zuccarello has a point in 15 of his past 19 games against Carolina. … Rangers D Tony DeAngelo left because of an ankle injury. Coach Alain Vigneault said DeAngelo will get an MRI on Tuesday.

JACKSONVILLE Tremaine Edmunds Super Bowl LI Jersey , Fla. — Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson is in serious contention for his first MVP award.

The NFL’s top-ranked defense presents the ultimate test — and opportunity for a major statement.

The Seahawks travel to Jacksonville on Sunday in a matchup of 8-4 teams at EverBank Field. The game was flexed to a 4:25 p.m. ET start and is arguably the biggest contest in Jacksonville in a decade.

      Article continues below ...
The Jaguars are tied with Tennessee for the AFC South lead. The Seahawks are a game back of the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West, but are the fifth-seed in the NFC playoff picture.

Wilson has thrown for 3,256 yards and ran for 432, but that production doesn’t tell the full story. The sixth-year veteran is carrying Seattle’s offense unlike any player in recent memory. Wilson’s 3,688 total yards account for 82.1 percent of Seattle’s output.

“I’ve really never studied or played against Russell Wilson,” Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said. “I’ve had the past couple days to really study him and I really think he’s having a MVP-type season. When you watch him back there whether it’s throwing the ball, running the football Adidas Jonathan Quick Jersey , escapability, prolonging plays, just making plays, durability, I mean he just does it all.”

Wilson has accounted for 29 of Seattle’s 30 offensive touchdowns, throwing for 26 and running for three.

Wilson led Seattle past visiting Philadelphia 24-10 on Sunday night, snapping the Eagles nine-game winning streak.

      The Jaguars present another challenge.

Jacksonville’s defense has become uncommonly excellent Adidas Alex Ovechkin Jersey , even for elite NFL defenses. The Jaguars lead the NFL in total defense (282.5 yards), scoring defense (14.8) and passing defense (167.1).

“They are the best in the NFL by a pretty good margin here in scoring and all that,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. “It starts up front for them. They have a big rotation of guys, a big variety of guys that they can throw at you. Their linebackers can fly and the secondary are a bunch of ball hawks back there. They cause you all kinds of problems. Forty-five sacks tells you the story and all the turnovers.”

Jacksonville has allowed opposing quarterbacks to throw 10 touchdowns with 16 picks for a passer rating of 65.6. Wilson enters the game with a rating of 96.9.

Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey has become one of the best in the NFL with three interceptions and 16 pass break-ups. Ends Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue have combined for 22 1/2 sacks. Campbell set the franchise single-season sack record by reaching 12 1/2 in Sunday’s 30-10 victory over visiting Indianapolis.

“Their front four is phenomenal,” Seattle receiver Doug Baldwin said. “We know that we have our hands full with them upfront. The linebackers are very smart and athletic, so we know that they are going to be moving around and causing us some issues in the passing game. Their secondary is extremely talented, extremely confident. I’m looking forward to that challenge because I know they are going to bring the best out of us.”

A major key in the game will be how the Jaguars elect to try and pressure Wilson. They should have a distinct advantage over Seattle’s substandard offensive line.

Does Marrone elect to allow his pass rushers the freedom to rush Wilson at full speed or will he and defensive coordinator Todd Wash want more of a controlled rush to contain Wilson?

The other side of the matchup tilts in Seattle’s favor. Despite losing stars in cornerback Richard Sherman Josh Allen Jersey Elite , strong safety Kam Chancellor and defensive end Cliff Avril, the Seahawks remain a stout unit.

The Jaguars lead the NFL in rushing. However, rookie running back Leonard Fournette has been slowed lately by an ankle injury and doesn’t seem to have the cutting ability and power he did in the first six games of the season.

If the Jaguars can’t run the ball well, fourth-year quarterback Blake Bortles will have to beat a secondary that still includes excellent free safety Earl Thomas.

Bortles played well against Indianapolis, throwing for 309 yards with two touchdowns and no picks. Still, the Colts aren’t nearly the defense Seattle is bringing to Jacksonville.

“Philly has been rolling and they shut them down, so it’s impressive Wholesale Troy Apke Jersey ,” Bortles said. “This defense has played at a high level for a really long time. They’ve had their staple guys that have been there for a really long time, know the system really well, played in it for a long time. They’re a little banged up with a couple guys out, but they still have a ton of good football players.”
